Yeah, it has gotten especially bad recently.
The Flash got rated extremely high in both and when I started digging into it they were clearly turning bad reviews into 'fresh' ones by just clipping out a single positive statement despite the review being entirely negative.
Between doing that and deleting any low audience scores they are entirely manufactured numbers now with zero representation of reality.
Even if I was inclined to give Disney any money, which I'm not, Critical Drinker and Shadiversity both said it's garbage so pass for me. No need to watch KK destroy another legacy with another "lol, girl power!" "character"
Just adopt the basic premise that it's going to be shit until proven otherwise. Saves you a lot of money and disappointment.
Marion in the original film was about as good as you can write a strong female, she holds her own but she still reacts realistically like a female when in danger.
I was about to say the same thing.
The whole Flashcast last night said they could barely get through it.
I just watch the EFAP breakdown so I have solid things to tell my friends about why they shouldn't see it.
You'd rather watch the breakdown that's three times the movie length than watch the movie itself heh
Precisely.
Early audience scores are now always high because it’s mostly studio-purchased bots. The “review bombers” are filtered out during the release window in order to maximize opening weekends. When there’s no more money to be made by lying to the audience, those audience scores will organically flip to negative.
Just more reason to pirate everything.
Apparently isn't even worth that.
I'm still waiting for a fan cut of the flash that only shows Keaton. Curiosity and all that, but fuck watching the whole thing.
Anyone dumb enough to believe rotten tomatoes ratings and who goes to watch the movie because of them, deserves the waste of time, money and the sheer boredom that'll result from it. If there's a movie that might make them reconsider the site's legitimacy, then this is one of them.
I still expect this movie to have the lowest opening week and the lowest revenue of any Indiana Jones installment.
Rotten Tomatoes is both fake and gay. Trust their honest representation of scores at your peril.
"Audience Score:" High, but hardly a respectable quantity of verified ratings.
People aren't seeing the movie. You know exactly why.
I admit I avoid looking at the site and just archived it when I saw an article saying people were liking it. How high do they generally count up viewer ratings?
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has 250,000.
Remember when the Woman King got an audience rating of 99% positive? Rotten Tomatoes is completely worthless.

Why is anyone giving a shit about anything out of RT?
Didn’t they admit to tweaking shit since Captain Marvel?
Typical woke infection. Take something useful like aggregated review scoring, twist it with manipulation until it can no longer be trusted for anything, then blame normal people who now consider it illegitimate.
MSMSnopesKotakuRedditRotten TomatoesDidn't stop the movie from only grossing $60 million domestically and $70 million internationally on opening weekend. With an expected huge 2nd week dropoff because it's so garbage plus Mission Impossible airing in a week, it'll be lucky if it sniffs $500 million.
Controversial Opinion - Dial of Destiny was OK. It was very tropey for the first half but I enjoyed the second half when they time travelled. And there wasn't really that much wokery. Probably a better film than Crystal Skull and Temple of Doom
