Frank Castle is always sympathetic to people who've been forced into these circumstances.
It's like how Gordon Ramsay will show mercy towards restaurant employees/owners where it's clear they're actually making an honest effort.
He's quite literally playing a character for American audiences when he goes full tyrant because said demographic is that fucking dumb they need caricatures and superlatives to gain any recognition of what is otherwise nuance elsewhere in the world.

Eh you're just ignorant about Gordon Ramsay. Yes, it's a character. But he's also a dick because people are just unbelievably stupid and incompetent and he just wants to help them succeed. He's actually a pretty good dude, and I find him entertaining.
If you think Gordon Ramsey didn't swear and scream like a sunburnt sailor before TV then you have far more faith in his acting than I. Plus that kind of personality is pretty common in professional chefs.
The majority of people who watch these shows are horny women who want to fuck the British guy.
Its why Simon Cowell started this trend and it continued from there. No one is actually watching for the fucking food, they are watching to see daddy get mad so they can get moister than an oyster.
Such a great character. Too bad Dixon or someone like him can’t get the rights to the character. Some of my favorite Punisher issues are where he is working with Spider-Man and they have discussions regarding their respective philosophies.

Yeah Avengers Civil War was a ham-fisted shoehorning of philosophy.
The DareDevil show did a great job portraying the DareDevil and Punisher divide.
I liked how this argument felt natural as a clash between two men with a completely different view of the world. It didn't feel forced.
The new MCU is clearly shit and they ruined many characters like Hulk.
