Saying “I don’t want to say ‘nigger’” is perfectly fine. I can respect those who avoid foul language. Saying “I don’t want to accurately quote something that uses the word ‘nigger’” is the kind of overly-sensitive retardation that puts the word on a pedestal and ultimately leads to exactly where we are.
One does obviously need to exercise caution, because the principle can’t be applied everywhere. I’m not arguing with that. What I’m saying is that if you refuse to quote accurately even in spaces where you can do so safely—and I do think this is one, at least for the moment—that is foolishness.
In college, I was an egalitarian, and I laughed at my Afrikaner friends who told me that blacks shit up everything, no exceptions. And then I worked for most of a decade in a government agency.
c'mon man, that kind of thinking is exactly what got us in this place. it's not a magic word. people don't magically die when it is uttered, certainly not when it's spoken for reference sake.
if someone gives you shit for saying nigger in reference to the term itself, dissociated from any person whatsoever, then even if they're white, you should mock them for being low IQ, not being able to understand context.
it's not that he's just choosing not to say it. he's afraid of saying it, even referentially. that's wildly submissive, and opens the door for them to act like children whenever it's said. stop being such a pussy and act like a grown ass adult.
I'm not that kind of guy.

There have been TEENAGE GIRLS in Europe who have been ARRESTED and PROSECUTED for posting copies of rap lyrics that contain the N-word.
They literally got a crooked cop onto the court stand to testify she was offended by seeing the world.

I hate niggers now.
Funny how first hand exposure changes a well meaning but naive opinion.
No, I will not.

Well, sometimes they do when they utter it in front of a nigger
What kind? Literate?
I’m going to agree with others here and say that you damn well should be.
Nigger. Ooh, magic “bad word”.
Come on, man, don’t self-censor! Have a spine, dammit…
See also: cunt, whore, son of a bitch, motherfucker, kike, sandnigger, slitty-eye, Jap, etc.
Take your pick.
They’re just fucking words, dude. Being scared of words, in context, even, is how we got into this fucking mess in the first place…
