The "billionaires going to space" meme itself, as portrayed in things like Elysium, is a myth. Adventurous entrepreneurs like Sir Richard Branson, Dennis Tito (is he a billionaire?), and Yusaku Maezawa are the rare exception. Most rich people want to live comfortably on the ground and spend their wealth on decadent luxuries. Space travel and colonization will be for the brave souls willing to tough out cramped living conditions, stale air, unhealthy micro-g, radiation, and a high chance they won't make it back safely. Even if we have space hotels for the rich, Earth will always be the paradise we are trying to copy.
Elon Musk said he'd wouldn't go to Mars unless a developed colony is waiting and he's about to die. Jeff Bezos isn't planning to travel unless it's perfectly safe, and you know he'd never follow through on his "earth zoo" philosophy and live on a space station. I don't think he really believes it himself.
The elites want us plebs to go work in the off-world colonies so they can have Earth to themselves.
That not what he said at all.
He said
Based lol, that's the kind of detail which maximises your genie wish from being a trap to a boon.
Everything you just said sounds like a background lore to universal century.
Everybody gangsta till the colony gets dropped.
Nah people are gonna go to space FOR money. They'll be cowboys like at every other frontier.
Have the left only got a one track mind of killing people more successful and satisfied with life than them and corrupting kids?
It's ironic that they would turn on their allies.
Being a bit sarcastic but mostly on the truth, does the left have 'allies' like we'd define them?
The way they define 'ally' is vassalage (I guess they got that from the US Empire).
As we would define it? Working towards common purposes until either side gets the opportunity to stab them in the back?
For them "ally" is a synonym for "house nigger", but they can't use the latter term without getting cancelled by the sociopaths they associate with.
Yes. Leftism is based on resentment and envy at it's core. "Equality" means dragging everyone down not lifting everyone up.
Why would you need a guillotine when the radiation exposure will do it much more slowly and painfully?
Lefty virtue signaling they will do something to rich when they NEVER will. They will fight working class "fascists" but never go after bankers, wall streeters & corporate fat cats. The left are controlled by the rich & wealthy elites, not just the corrupt lefty politicians but the lefty voters too.
Interestingly enough, guillotines have been used to do work in space before. In fact the Apollo Lunar Lander had what was called the LM Interstage Umbilical Guillotine which used an explosive charge to sever control and electrical cables that connected the descent stage to the rest of the Lunar Module. This was used to reduce overall weight for the return ascent from the moon's surface or in the event of an abort during landing.
Also this champaign socalist's poor understanding of physics means she fails realize you don't need gravity if you can simply provide a 9.807m/s^2 acceleration along the correct axis.
Bringing actual physics into a conversation like that is pointless, because they will just try to socialize physics.
Silly idiot doesn't get that there are an infinitesimal more ways to die out in space.
Every guillotine meme communist should be permanently disenfranchised at a minimum. Exile or lifetime imprisonment would be even better.
They should be forced to live in the conditions they support
One way tickets to North Korea.
All these communists only want to ban fossil fuels because helicopters need gas to fly.
Electric powered drone droppers for the win.
Every object has some amount of gravity. Though it affecting you compared to the other massive objects in space is negligible. To simulate earth like gravity in a smaller object like a space station you would need something like centrifugal force as a stand in for gravity force that earth has (and no, Oprah doesn't have enough mass to have a earth like gravitational pull yet.)
