Yes, but only white ones. The endless crowds of illiterate goatfuckers their government is importing must be provided for at the expense of those evil oppressors who then end up homeless.
I'm way less concerned with who has access to MAiD than I am with people being coerced into taking it.
We know there's a big push right now by governments to "eliminate homelessness"; how close could you get by flooding the homeless with psychoreacrive drugs and then suggesting they let us kill them? Same with prison populations.
How about CRT and LGBETC in schools? Tell kids they're monsters, or surgically turn them into monsters, then give them an out?
And, of course, let's not forget the elderly, as they move ever closer to senility, taking up health care the entire time. Wouldn't it be convenient for governments if they just "decided" to disappear?
I believe in personal bodily autonomy, which includes the right to destroy yourself. But that is a world away from the government paying to destroy you, and even further from being coerced into destroying yourself.
Everybody remember masking and getting jabbed to "save grandma"? How long until it's grandma's turn to "retire gracefully" and free up hospital beds?
It's also illegitimate to offer the non-terminally ill state-sponsored euthanasia while outlawing anything but state-controlled "healthcare" for everything else.
I also believe they will potentially be even giving the jabbed the option of suicide at this point if they keep displaying inconvenient symptoms that can be directly linked to the jab being a problem for the person's health. Never fucking trust the government, never.
As I have seen it start to be put: Canadians aren’t nice, they are just passive-aggressive.
There was a Canadian YouTuber I was listening to recently that straight up said that while he used to use it as a “we are better than you” point, he is now envious of how actively aggressive most Americans are. Because it means that they will usually fight back against things like MAID, and it’s hard to get stuff like that federally. Meanwhile, Canadians don’t because they don’t want to rock the boat (that is an American trait after all), and their government is set up in such a way that Ontario, Toronto, and Vancouver set the tone for the entire country whether they like it or not.
'niceness and politeness' is just cultural collectivism on steroids and it means anybody who has even a slightly differing opinion on a topic is actively shunned by society. See the Japanese as a great example of this, AbroadInJapan red pilled me quite a bit and slapped the weaboo out when it came to being properly honest about the culture there. Holiday there? Certainly, live there? Doubt. Tons of problems when it comes to work environment and mental health in that country too.
I would not be shocked if the Canadians were similar, ironically, this kind of attitude is a classic way society ends up breaking down, because people aren't honest with each other, deep seated issues are never addressed and the people who keep getting shunned in society are going to understandably feel like they have no connection with the society that shunned them anymore.
The British were exactly like this too and it was such a 'shock' to all the leftists when the leave vote won because they were all the excessively polite scum who were attacking and shunning anybody who talked about the issues that were important to them when it came to Brexit generally.
The same thing is happening in Germany. It would be rude, and that's Nazi stuff, so you shouldn't do it. Do that for everything, and suddenly you are a Nazi if you don't build camps for political enemies.
I'm fine with prescribing it for murders, child molesters, hell I might even go to repeated property crimes. I take it the people of Canada are not since they do not have a death penalty.
As a Canadian, I am having a hard time disagreeing with the spirit of the headline... Obviously, it's going to be pushed on white people and not non-whites though. If they could get natives to take this, it would be great.
People do. There's something called the Hemlock Society (apparently it has a different name now) that operated in retirement homes, almost like a secret society, for people that did want to off themselves (heard about this via relatives who were in a home).
That's ALSO a slippery slope, because what's the line between murder and suicide (or assisting suicide) when it's all done under the law?
Legalized ethanasia does NOT have to be a slippery slope. See Switzerland. It's pretty minimal.
Government recommended--NO. Government sanctioned or encouraged or even assisted--NO.
I think in many--maybe most--cases that's true. There are situations where rational people may wish to no longer live. Intolerable quality of life from disease or other mental/physical affliction. Intolerable quality of life from old age. etc.
If an adult, of sound mind, without any coercion, wants to kill himself or herself, so be it imho.
Yes, but only white ones. The endless crowds of illiterate goatfuckers their government is importing must be provided for at the expense of those evil oppressors who then end up homeless.
Those who endorsed this should be the first to be executed.
Isn't the term "euthanised"? If they can fuck around with words so can we

Canadians are such nice, polite people.

Life really has been devalued.
I wonder if Canadians are going to get the swanky euthanasia rooms from Soylent green or the cheapo suicide booths from Futurama.

It's the Euthanasia Coaster or nothing for me.

I'm confused... Is this based or woke?
What's the big deal?
IF someone wants to die and IF that person is of sound mind, why not let them?
Then they can off themselves. Government recommended, sanctioned, encouraged and assisted suicide is a slippery slope.

I would define the vast majority of people actively seeking their own death to be not of sound mind, for the very first issue.
