Will another white male ever be nominated by a Democrat for SCOTUS in my lifetime? Is that fair?"
The quality of judges has plummeted in the last 20 years thanks to Democrats politicizing all their appointments and picking judges based on party loyalty and box checking instead of actual talent.
I have judges - all women - who just blatantly play favorites in cases and only pay the slightest of lip service to not doing so.
If you're a white male and you want to be a judge in California, you'd better have extremely strong Democrat Party connections, enough to override the default, which is to appoint black, indian, hispanic, and asian women.
The Supreme Court is 6-3 or at worst 5-4 conservative though and in the end they all bow down to them when it comes to the law. Every President gets to appoint endless piles of judges as openings come up so while there’s 3 years’ worth of Biden judges, there’s also 4 years’ worth of Trump judges. 8 years’ each of Obama and Bush judges, etc etc. It’s just a part of things, but SCOTUS appointments last longer and are the most important. If any Biden judges make fuckups massive enough to make a difference, the appeal will wind toward the conservative SCOTUS.

I'm surprised blacks are only that over-represented. It seems like in his more public facing positions the percentage is higher than that.
