Unfortunately, there's a better than average chance that the baker voted for Macron and to "eliminate climate change".

Yup and he's probably doubling down now blaming right-wingers for not implementing more socialist policies so that the government would cover his electricity bill.

Under the new EU socialism we won't even get bread lines. Progress!

I thought that was an overblown amount for a year of service, but under the red circle, they wrote by hand "For 20 days". This is a bill that only covers since the beginning of 2023? How is it even remotely possible that it could cost that much?

Id guess you would need a factory sized bakery to consume that much in 20 days. Something is really wrong with that shit.

Seems to be par for the course for bakeries. I've seen a lot of these kinds or news articles in Germany and the amount isn't unusual. They use A LOT of electricity (ovens around here are generally electric) and prices have increased 10 fold.

100k for a month is probably a local chain with a couple of locations.

Ultimately this is due to the Europeans embracing the green energy bullshit. If they'd just not close their existing nukes and instead build more, they wouldn't be in this mess.

It's spooooooky boiling water... That multi-billion-dollar Big Oil and multi-billion-dollar Big Green both are ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of, for it will rob them of their unfair profits and illegitimate claims of superiority.

I think in my generous estimate at least 70% of western politicians are on board with WEF policies and that's me being optimistic. If I'm being real, probably 90 - 95%. They don't give a jackshit about common average people. If only people had balls to bring back French revolution...

Would love to know more. Everything I've read up to this point is that energy bills has gone up 3x to 4x. Which is insane.

And commercial ovens using electricity instead of gas? Government mandate?

The French deserve everything they get. Enjoy Macron and his wife cheese.
