There is literally no good position for Trump to take on this and, frankly, it's pissing up a rope. Trump either says the clot shot was bad and gets smeared by his opponents as "AUNTIE VACKS!" or says he says the coof juice is great and gets ran the fuck down by his supporters.
Frankly, trying to argue the point is a fucking fools errand. The Branch COVIDians are going to keep bathing themselves in their fucking holy water. The Purebloods are going to watch the former drop like flies. Everyone's mind is made up and everything else is typical wedge issues.
As for Trump himself, he at least didn't push any kind of federal pandemic mandates and it really was a states issue. Until he's literally forcing people to get it, I don't care how much he brags about his ego-boosting pet project. I'm more concerned about the cost of shit going up, my money becoming worthless at an accelerated rate, and lawlessness getting to the point where criminals are being treated better than law-abiding citizens.
There is a very good position he could have taken and that is not talking or bragging about this vaccine at all.
He is too much of an arrogant retard to ever accept that he made mistakes so I don't expect him to have the humility to realize Operation Warpspeed was a mistake.
He constantly spits in the face of all of his supporters and yet some of his braindead cultists still expect everyone to lick it up and push him for 2024.
He is an incompetent narcissist who cannot stop bragging about this shit vax.
He has proven that he currently is unfit to solve any of the major problems that the country faces.
His first rally event of the year is in South Carolina with Lindsey Graham of all people.
He has learned nothing at all from his mistakes and he will enjoy a monumental loss in 2024 if God forbid the base is dumb enough to somehow anoint this incompetent undisciplined fool as the nominee again.
He is close friends with Lindsey Graham, he endorsed Kevin McCarthy and Ronna McDaniel.
He constantly pushes the vax more than anyone else in the Republican party.
No one sane would think anymore that Trump is a populist "outsider" when he makes grandiose claims about the vax saying that 100 million lives were saved thanks to it. Not even Pfizer itself has made this outlandish claim.
The only swamp Trump will drain is the wallets of his poor base when he shamelessly will beg for donations like the depraved conman he truly is.
I will never vote for him ever again because he is grossly incompetent, is so narcissistic that he is completely incapable of learning from his past mistakes and because he also has the worst personnel selection skills I have ever seen in one man
I can only hope the base is smart enough to not nominate this arrogant fool again
He's an incompetent narcissist... who somehow dumb lucked himself into a successful real estate business, a top-viewed tv show, and the presidency.
Flawed, sure, but people wish that he's Forest Gump because that makes them feel better. Trump is an existential proof that some of their beliefs are wrong - unless he didn't do the things intentionally, like the posturing he does.
Without the Operation Warp Speed "mistake" Pfizer would have made their vaccine anyway (they didn't take the money). Fauci could operate an illegal gain of function program, he could certainly have gotten trials for it. Remember how they announced the vaccines 3 days after the election to keep Trump from getting credit? They would have announced it weeks before and said he was against this life saving vaccine. No way Trump got reelected being against the vaccine; not doing OWS was a guaranteed loss.
And so now you say he should be against the vaccine, but this is again posturing and the people too obtuse to understand that almost all are in favor of the vaccine because they are too dumb to find out different. He's forcing the left to either give him credit or prove the vaccine is bad, both of which benefit him, whereas downplaying warp speed shows weakness and for those who still believe it's good gives away credit for nothing.
Saying he saved millions is like saying he had the biggest inauguration crowd. The point was never the actual crowd size.
This is a pathetic attempt to reframe his constant vax peddling as muh "4d chess".
I am truly sorry that you feel that you need to make these excuses to prop up a 2024 run for an incompetent arrogant narcissist who only cares about himself.
You need to understand that the conditions of 2016 are nothing like the current conditions of today.
The crucial combination of necessary factors that led to that single win are completely gone and they won't be coming back.
2016 was never about any 4d chess.
That election was a unique moment in time where populism was the mood of the slight majority of the entire electorate.
Trump was able to capitalize on the key issues of tackling the immigration crisis, stopping free trade gutting the rust belt and he made the case that the Supreme Court balance was on the line too.
Moderate Rs and enough Independent voters were both willing to give Trump a chance in the hope that he would solve issues and become more "Presidential" if elected.
Sadly, we all know how that turned out by 2020.
Moderate Rs and most independents now completely loathe him. He has also lost his outsider populist cred after we see the people that he promoted and endorsed.
He has an actual track record that can be strongly used against him now.
If you are trying to make a case for the potential success of Trump 2024 using the success of Trump 2016 then you are doing the political equivalent of trying to compare apples to oranges.
Eight years is an eternity in politics.
Trump is not the same man and the political landscape has drastically changed.
Trump might be able to win the 2024 primary if enough of the base is stupid enough to anoint him again but he will never win a general election again.
He may have been more coherent, tailoring his administration to his policies, were it not for the constant attacks from permanent alphabet agency bureaucrats and the press who breathlessly published every leak and beat our collective ears incessantly with the campaign of lies about Russia and the "insurrection" and the fruitless impeachments.
It's remarkable he was able to accomplish what he did under those conditions, and I have to wonder what level of vitriol he'd face in a second term.
The crucial combination of necessary factors that led to that single win are completely gone and they won't be coming back. ... That election was a unique moment in time ... 2016 was never about any 4d chess.
Of course 2016 was about "4d chess" meaning that Trump time after time got the media to take contrary positions that benefitted him - this is where the term came from. You're still arguing the Forest Gump theory that he just stumbled into office; it was just a lucky situation not skill.
If you are trying to make a case for the potential success of Trump 2024 using the success of Trump 2016 then you are doing the political equivalent of trying to compare apples to oranges.
The point I am making is that you are divorcing yourself from reality because you have views that are contrary to it. Saying he saved millions forces the left to give him credit or trash the vaccine - that's the reality, regardless of whether he's posturing or actually believes it. You can't handle that for some reason so you say it's imagined 4d chess, and 4d chess is stupid, so therefore Trump is stupid and can't win - that's basically your position here right?
Your argument for Trump being a sure loss is the same as your explanation for a 2024 win. If he wins it'll just be a confluence of lucky events, and he'll lose because there's not a confluence this time. Just rationalization, no real argument at all.
I think newsweek published this old rally footage knowing that most of his voters despise the vax, to discourage his supporters from voting for him in 2024. It's a ploy to piss off his base. Expect to see the msm replaying more of this kind of his vax boasting, they know we hate it and right now he's the strongest repub candidate for the next election.
I like DeSantis but I don't think he's going to run in 2024, he's got a great gig going in Florida where he's winning bigly.
I think there are surprises in store. Will Biden finish his term? Will they get rid of Madame Cackles ala Spiro Agnew ahead of the Nixon resignation? That's a play that already has historic precedent.
The usual Davos leadership is absent this year, including Bill Gates. It could be that the powers-that-be are in more of a disarray than we know.
This is not old footage of Trump. Trump said this on 1/16/2023. DeSantis will certainly run in 2024.
Trump is the weakest candidate for 2024. He is vehemently despised by more people than anyone else currently in politics.
If the base wants to certainly lose 2024, they can nominate Trump.
If they even want a chance to win 2024, they will nominate someone competent like RDS.
The lies have already started, and they have already had an effect. The "so-called" (by the media) "Don't Say Gay" bill happened under his watch. That's what inspired my comment. He will be painted as a "notorious homophobe" (and therefore transphobe nazi racist sexist) and he will suddenly be "shooting himself in the foot" constantly -- if you listen to the media. It's already happened.
And if the base wants to get a couple paltry token policies on the culture war, that get challenged and overturned in federal court, followed by full throated support of Israel-focused foreign policy, then they'll have a great time with a president RDS.
I'd rather see Trump get fortified out of 2024, and the country finally go through the necessary divorce, than see a continued slow retreat.
Now now, they're still going to need the Republican boogeyman so a RINO child fucker or two will squeak by, showing "the elections aren't rigged after all, dummies!"
Trump cultists say this blackpilled nonsense because they believe that since their clown candidate can't win again that somehow no Republican will ever win a national election.
All you need is to run someone competent and actually utilize ballot harvesting in swing states.
It is true that Trump will never win a national election again.
I agree with your view of Trump. I don't want to have to gamble my vote on this idiotic narcissist again. I want a viable alternative. DeSantis and Paul are the obviously best candidates, but they might not want to debase themselves in a Presidential race (a second time in the case of Rand Paul).
On a side note, "culture war" is the media's term used to trivialize the neo-Marxist advancement through all our institutions and the rise of tranny tyranny.
RDS is a pretty good governor, and would make a terrible president. The administrative state is highly competent at making any views dissenting from the System irrelevant, even when it's the monarch holding them. DeSantis would see himself shepherded into serving the wishes of the NGO's and MNC's, and the people who need a real change would spend 4-8 more years grasping at scraps.
Populists, traditionalists, and libertarians will not be in a position to take over national institutions unless we put in the work to oust the Long Marchers through their own game. That takes decades. In the short and medium term, victory will only be achieved through nullification and secession. We will only get those when more people on the broad right wake up to the facts of the tactical landscape.
As I said a thousand times before, the Republican leader should be able to stand up to Democrat pressure groups. Ronald DeSimptis has a 100% record of folding to the demands of the NOW.
What the fuck has he done for falsely accused men? What has he done against women's advancing discrimination?
FL is one of the only states that allows mugshots of rape accused to be published without conviction.
Wow, you got instantly downvoted. Never seen that happen to a noticer.
I really don't think Israel is a big issue now. Ukraine absolutely dwarfs what they get, and their influence pales in comparison to shady multinational women's groups.
The Kering Foundation's Year in Review article credits their lobbying with getting several major bills over the line.
Imagine how many of these things there are that aren't as obvious as the pedos at Balenciaga.
Do you know why he said that "Some people say that I saved 100 million lives worldwide."?
Because those were the numbers of dead he was actually quoted. 20 million dead by December 2020 in the US alone. 1 million dead by December 2020 in the UK. The man who made those predictions had those predictions peddled to almost every government in the world. This same guy developed the UK's lockdown schemes, and then got caught leaving the country in defiance of that scheme to fuck his girlfriend in South America.
Some people did tell him that he'd save 100 million lives.
As for the vaccine itself, yeah, it probably did save some lives. If we only contain the vaccine to people who took it voluntarily, it probably did more good than bad by not having those people go to the hospital and get their lungs blown out by respirators.
This is one of the cases his ego and stubbornness is to his detriment. The vaccine failed and to hold onto it as some kind of achievement is horrible strategy.
At his core he is a massive narcissist who refuses to accept that he is even capable of making mistakes. His leadership potential is fatally destroyed because he is incapable of learning from any of his mistakes.
It is not just the vaccine peddling, no one is more incompetent at personnel selection than Trump.
He endorses and surrounds himself with the worst grifters on the right.
His first rally of his 2024 bid is with Lindsey Graham this January 28th.
He does this shit and he has the audacity to claim he is a "populist outsider".
All we have gotten in every single election after 2016 is loss after loss. I am completely sick and tired of losing.
No more Trump and no more of his braindead endorsements.
He gave us fucking clowns like Hershel Walker, Doug Mastriano and Dr. Oz. So many winnable races pissed away because Trump decided to butt in with his retard picks.
Trump needs to completely retire from politics.
What he has done from 2020 onwards has made me vehemently despise him.
Unfortunately, you need HIM to retire, you can't force it on him so our main option is to back him but get as many guys WE know are good not that he recommends in so that he's president but we have our America first guys surrounding him
If he does retire, then you can put in your Desantis or even your Kari Lake to be president and then we'll make some progress but it's all dependent on Trump's actions.
Welcome to politics...it's full of massive egos and tunnel vision.
I can't blame his supporters though because as much as Trump is shortsighted on this, they've been burned more by the GOP, their own media, courts, police etc
They would love to switch to someone else so it's shown it's not a person they follow but an idea (more self reliance, less government oversight and more individual freedom etc) and have shown Trump multiple times they don't trust the vaccine but it's not getting through.
As I've said, best move Trump could pull is to basically act as flak cover drawing all the fire just to secretly be working with someone else to be president that isn't connected or tied to the establishment so they have not enough time to spin their propaganda machine.
Not defending him - but this is a tough spot. For him to change course would be an admission that he's also responsible for the ill effects. He should be more pragmatic and open about the circumstances surrounding the desperate work I'm sure he thought was being done to save lives. This stance does nothing but alienate his remaining supporters and embolden the enemy.
This just isn't a good look. At best, the "vaccine" did nothing. Worst case scenario, which various agencies and arms of propaganda kept under wraps, is that the vaccine would kill you. There were plenty of health complications that ranged between the two extremes. COVID-19 was a colossal scam that seriously damaged our economy and mental well-being. The best thing Trump can do at this point is try to distance himself from the whole debacle.
The studies that actually look at the overall effect on mortality of the injections find no reduction for people under 60 and a small reduction for people over 60.
Further studies find increased mortality among vaccinated young adults and children, especially the males.
All the studies are also short enough to completely underreport cumulative myocardial damage from continuing boosters.
The studies are blinded intentionally.
Trump being a narcissist and refusing to admit backing Warp Speed was a mistake will massively backfire as the butcher's bill for the vaccines comes due.
Operation Warp Speed is going to be a problem for him in 2024. Not necessarily because of the actual effects of the vaccine, which are ghastly, but because it's an issue like bump stocks that gives very retarded libertarians with no will to live something to fixate on as an excuse not to vote for him.
The vaccines did save many elderly lives but unfortunately came at the cost of severe side effects to the young with no benefit. Too bad it wasn't marketed only towards the elderly like it should have been. Trump is complicit in this and should be held accountable, instead he acts like a delusional loser.
There is literally no good position for Trump to take on this and, frankly, it's pissing up a rope. Trump either says the clot shot was bad and gets smeared by his opponents as "AUNTIE VACKS!" or says he says the coof juice is great and gets ran the fuck down by his supporters.

He has learned nothing at all from his mistakes and he will enjoy a monumental loss in 2024 if God forbid the base is dumb enough to somehow anoint this incompetent undisciplined fool as the nominee again.
Oh, expect him to get grilled for "ignoring the issues".
But whatever, if you want the uniparty to stay in power, have fucking at it. I can't be fucked to care.
He is close friends with Lindsey Graham, he endorsed Kevin McCarthy and Ronna McDaniel.
He constantly pushes the vax more than anyone else in the Republican party.

If you're not going to vote for someone because you don't agree with them 100% of the time on 100% of issues, have fun getting fuck all done.
Straw man argument.
I will never vote for him ever again because he is grossly incompetent, is so narcissistic that he is completely incapable of learning from his past mistakes and because he also has the worst personnel selection skills I have ever seen in one man

I am officially Never Trump now.
Trump refuses to stop being a retarded covid vaccine peddler.
If Trump is the nominee I am staying home. I will never vote for this orange clown ever again.
I think newsweek published this old rally footage knowing that most of his voters despise the vax, to discourage his supporters from voting for him in 2024. It's a ploy to piss off his base. And how did people feel about Trump before 2015?
The exact same machine is going to target Desantis. He will be just as despised as Trump.
Unless the machine leaves Desantis alone, at which point you would wonder why.
The difference is that DeSantis is actually competent and doesn't give the media free ammo against him.
DeSantis also is not a retard who shoots himself in the foot daily.
You will never see DeSantis say ridiculous shit that the media can easily blast without context.
The media has been slandering him as DeathSantis. They have failed.
They have tried to smear his education bill as don't say gay and they have failed.
They tried to say he is a dictator with him taking on Disney and they have failed again.
He won re-election by 19 points even with the media attacking him constantly.
DeSantis handles the media way better than Trump ever has.
Of course he will. At least if he would actually be a good president.
RON: I am signing an executive order making it illegal to discriminate based on race.
NYT: DESANTIS' SO-CALLED "CONTINUE THE OPPRESSION" ORDER IS TYRANNICAL, RACIST
RON: No mask mandates are allowed.
WAPO: DESANTIS' "PUBLIC NUDITY IN FRONT OF CHILDREN" ORDER IS RACIST, WOULD KILL 9,999,999,999 GRANDMAS OF COLOR
The point is that the lies will have no effect, and the more DeSantis confronts the lies and slander directly, the more credible he will become.
If he doesn't run he ought to be drafted.
Why won't Rand Paul put his ass in the wringer again?
The lies have already started, and they have already had an effect. The "so-called" (by the media) "Don't Say Gay" bill happened under his watch. That's what inspired my comment. Losing with Trump in 2024 will not result in pushing your misguided dreams of acceleration.
RDS has been a bulwark against the biomedical security state.
He is not just a culture warrior.
Trump 2024 cultists always try to underplay DeSantis' various achievements so they can try to nominate their incompetent undisciplined clown again.
Trump 2024 guarantees a loss.
RDS 2024 gives a chance for a potential victory.
The choice is simple.
Trump will never win a national election again.
No republican will ever win a national election again lol
Now now, they're still going to need the Republican boogeyman so a RINO child fucker or two will squeak by, showing "the elections aren't rigged after all, dummies!"
Wrong!

What he has done from 2020 onwards has made me vehemently despise him.
No more.
If Trump is the nominee again he will undoubtedly lose massively.
He is already hated by so many people.
Losing again in 2024 would cement the narrative that his win in 2016 was merely a fluke.
I find it disgusting that he is willing to destroy his legacy over his foolish and narcissistic desire to run again.
But that's extremely unlikely to happen.
He has successfully alienated many of his own supporters with this.
I hope I can see him get crushed in the primaries.
I utterly despise him after seeing who he has become after 2020.
Yup. The guy is also too old now, his time has passed.
He will be a 78 year old man in 2024.
He should have retired from politics and let us move on with a younger and more competent candidate.
What a dildo.
Is he trying to sabotage his own campaign?
He is completely out of touch with his own base.
He should have never run again after 2020.
The sad truth is that he is such a fucking narcissist that he is unable to self-assess and can't learn from his own mistakes.
Fuck him.
I hope all the other candidates in the primary team up and use OWS as a wedge issue to utterly crush Trump in the primary.
He must not be nominated again if we want even a 5 percent chance of winning 2024.
The vaccines did save many elderly lives but unfortunately came at the cost of severe side effects to the young with no benefit. Too bad it wasn't marketed only towards the elderly like it should have been. Trump is complicit in this and should be held accountable, instead he acts like a delusional loser.
