I refuse to give that horseshit any attention. Pascal revealed himself to be a flaming leftist douchebag and I stopped watching anything involving him. Paired with the horrific political overtones of TLoU2, there's no way this ends up any good.
Hate watching is stupid, especially since it's pretty damned clear that a lot of these shows are being made solely to make fans angry. They don't have the talent to make anything good, so they have to drag everything else down to their level.
I think Chernobyl is one of the best and most important series I've ever seen.
It perfectly depicts how an authoritarian government that rules through lies, and promotes based on loyalty to the party instead of competence, will eventually crash into reality with disastrous results. Nothing could be more relevant to our current moment in history.
I read somewhere that Craig Mazin said, "Hurr, durr, it's actually about Trump!" but I never found the actual quote where he said that. It would take a TDS-addled mind to perceive anything about Trump in the show.
The production values are excellent. The haunting atmosphere of paranoia and despair is palpable (the excellent soundtrack helps). The performances are great, particularly Harris and Skarsgard. It also does an excellent job of explaining how Chernobyl blew up.
I second the recommendation. Chernobyl was a fantastic miniseries. It played a little loose with some of the historical accuracy, but it was generally a faithful and compelling account of the Chernobyl disaster. Its overarching theme of the cost of lies is very relevant today.
It's inevitable that every bad thing is somehow Trump. Libs thought Inaros from The Expanse was like Trump, and the dude was basically the platonic ideal of some Central/South American commie revolutionary.
I checked so I didn't misremember, according to the game (I don't count LoU2 as a sequel), the original cause was an infected crop with this fungas making into the food chain causing the mass infection.
So the FDA fucked up, tons of people got sick, they thought "Oops, better do a recall and it'll all be good" but then the infected turned into zombies and the FDA fucked the world over because they're shit at their jobs!
That's actually REALLY believable compared to 'mah global warming caused zombies', I'll admit I enjoyed the game as story was good plus multiplayer was fun, everything after the original game became shit though.
Watch Children of Men, it's the same fucking story. Children of Men+Resident Evil, but if Umbrella suddenly took control of the country after their own fuck up.
It opens with a panelist show from the 60s talking about how if the Earth warms a few degrees fungus would have a reason to invade human bodies like insects.
This is about as stupid as "if the Earth was 10 feet closer to the sun, we'd all burn to death." Why didn't turning on the heater cause the fungus apocalypse? A warm breeze? I dunno, fucking summer?
I don't get the The Last of Us hype. I played the first game and it sucked. The gameplay was boring. The story was boring. I just don't get it. I have no idea why I see so many people have such a strong emotional connection to it and I didn't, I cried at the end of Rime FFS and any death in Yellowstone. I get the same feeling from TLOU as I do watching Interstellar. I just don't get "it".
Then the Sarah portion starts, and it's all about Sarah and not Joel. In the game Sarah was in it for three minutes, in the show it's thirty minutes of Sarah.
The Last of Cis originally began as Mankind, a game in which a virus turned all women and only women into zombies. But the Cuckmann came upon Sarkeesian videos (this is what he said himself) and ended up pushing out Amy Henning out of Naughty Dog and personally giving that Games Ambassador award and title to Sarky.

Seriously, if your gonna hatewatch it atleast pirate it so they don't get the views.

Critics love it so I'm not going to see it.
Even if it’s good, season 2 would be tranny shit. Of course I’m not watching.
eh... no thanks. Anyone seen Chernobyl? Was that worth a watch?

I highly recommend it.

Chernobyl was great and you are right there are a lot parallels to draw from (intended or not).
Blind allegiance and purity tests, all while a disaster is unfolding.

Don't expect historical accuracy, and of course there's a whaman character who didn't actually exist in reality, but it's worth watching I think.
Chernobyl is really good.

Goyvision? What is that?
No, why would I watch a show about a 14 year old girl?
Embrace your inner jew.
You gave them a click and they're going to use you and people like you as the reason why they're going to continue this nonsense.
Be better. Don't watch this shit. #CancelHBO (and Disney+ if you have it).
Agree with you 100% (fuck them), but I have absolutely no doubt they would lie about the number of clicks anyway.
The propaganda will flow regardless.

Umbrella = Pfizer
Which came first? Umbrella logo or the Wuhan lab logo? Contagion may as well be a playbook too.
Can’t say I’m surprised. Thanks for suffering through it for us.

You forgot to mention they nigwashed Sarah.

"Either I'm right, or they actually deliver a good series. Either way, I win."
He praised the acting as incredible, while fully acknowledging that "Joel's black daughter" was stupid and senseless.
Oh, for the love of God.
