God the voice acting is awful. And of course they made Kendra Daniels “cover up” so her clothes weren’t so revealing. Ugh… 2022 is absolutely pathetic, we do nothing but remake old shit that was way better before. Our culture is dead.
Makes me way less hopeful than I was in 2008 that we’ll actually be exploring outer space in the 2500s like Dead Space predicts. Instead we’ll still be here on earth debating about how many dozens of fucking genders there are, and everyone who actually knew how to fly or even build spaceships will be dead and gone and we’ll be on the verge of returning to monke.
Sounds like they got everyone to reprise their roles (minus Nicole), even the two red shirts, though obviously 14 years older.

Can confirm, it was a huge disappointment. I think a lot of people were banking on it giving the DS remake a run for it’s money but not anymore. After playing it I have to question just how much Glen Schofield was even involved with the original Dead Space because he sure as shit didn’t implement any of that into Callisto Protocol.
On the plus side maybe with contemporary sci-fi media being so shit, imaginative young people will have no choice but to focus on engineering and building the future in real life?
Kendra still wears a jacket in the OG game, though it's not as snug thanks to advancement in graphics technology. Looks like it's a physical object now instead of baked into the model like most Gen 7 games.

As I've said before, I think, unintentional or intentionally, having Issac as a mute protagonist in the first game added to the feel and made sense that he was nearly holding on and was not talking to reduce interactions to make it easier to pretend he wasn't there. From second game onwards him talking then made sense since he found out that the terror never left him.
