We live in a country of 330 million people, and there are a huge number of democrat politicians all over the country. Congress alone has many hundreds, and when you start looking at states it goes into the tens of thousands.
So the simple fact is that I'm sure crimes against both republicans and democrats are happening all the time, every day. Statistically, it would be fully expected.
