If you’re a straight white male who was laid off as a direct result of these racist policies, you should be suing the shit out of your former employer.

I’ve seen it a few times and I think more should.

Were you or a loved one effected by Woke Workplace Policies? You may be entitled to compensation.....

Aren't they based out of San Francisco? What few nominally straight white males they had were likely bugmen.

Would that stand in court?

Potentially. The "Dear Collegue Memo" was rescinded by Betsy DeVoss after it became obvious that the many dozens of federal court challenges to the Title IX Tribunal system that had been created by it were incurring a huge cost on the Universities.

If they're specifically targeted white males for redundancy how could it be legal?

I don't know what discrimination laws are like today.

They probably just fired the 11% of the staff that actually keeps the place running. They deserve what is coming.

This bit is fascinating as well:

In the US, impacted Twilions will get an email within the next 60 minutes letting them know their role has been impacted

Okay, first of all, Twillion is a fucking retarded name for an employee and whoever came up with it needs to be fired into the sun for being a faggot. But more importantly - so they first publicly announced laying off 11% of their workforce, and THEN sent those being fired personal e-mails? And how the fuck does sending an e-mail take up to 60 minutes? Why didn't you have this set up beforehand you stupid goddamn motherfuckers?!

Anyone competent enough to actually implement this scheme correctly is getting canned.

Oh my lawd it's a company specializing in electronic communication and mass messaging. This is their product, and they're cocking it up.

Hire a good lawyer that can rip apart this nonsensical anti-racist policy

The problem is that a good lawyer is going to tell you that you have no case, since unless they literally write "Employee X was laid off because he was white", the administrative agencies and courts will consider the case unproven and not even worth going to discovery.

That’s true. I used to work in HR. I should know better.

Dont be too hard on yourself: you're a black man in HR: as far removed from reality as a person can be.

Well I do regret leaving sometimes because with the craziness today I feel I could push back against it but that would probably have gotten me fired

True, but they've also done them the favor of basically publicly documenting their racist decisions.

Of course, you'd have to nail them down on what an "anti-racist, anti-oppressive lens" actually means, but any reasonable jury would know exactly what they mean.

And also, of course, a lot of juries would be fine with it. Because we live in clown world.

White men fired by the company should look into court action for violation of their civil rights.

If there is a good chance for a group action win, sometimes you can strike a deal for the lawyer firm's payment being a cut from the settlement.

If you're foolish enough to have any of your infrastructure or products depend on any of their services or APIs now would be a good time to start looking for alternatives.

Actually last year would have been the best time. Second best time is now.

It's really nice of companies these days admitting their discrimination publicly so we can use their statements in a court of law.

It is what it is. Some jobs now are black or gay only. I’m not sure how to prepare my kids for this.

Teach them how to start their own business.

Even if they did get a job, that would be for the best anyway.
