People voted for him not because of his good policies, but because of his skin color. Same thing with Biden - they voted for him soely because "Orange Man Bad". And their vote counts just as much as yours. Please go ahead and tell me how Democracy is supposed to be a good thing.

People voted Obama because under his predecessor Dubya Bush, the economy spiralled into a major recession.

Also remember the fact that Bush got the U.S. into two unpopular wars and also completely bungled the Hurricane Katrina response.

Thanks to the worst possible national environment for the GOP, Obama was sadly never going to lose 2008, regardless of which candidate ran against him. McCain was obliterated sure but I don't think anyone could have beaten Obama that year.

To make matters worse outside of the national environment, Obama also had charisma that brainwashed normies into foolishly thinking he was a centrist when Obama was responsible for the biggest cultural shift to the left in American politics ever.

2012 was winnable had the GOP not nominated elitist financier Mitt Romney. That election had irreparable consequences to the culture of our country.

Wokeism went into warp speed after 2012.

For the course of the last seven years, media successfully manipulated normies into utterly hating Trump. No other political figure in recent history has ever been demonized and hated this vehemently.

I pray America can survive Obama's third term with a new Republican President elected in 2024.

2024 depends on how well the GOP does in the midterms most important races are winning the AZ, WI, GA and PA governor races and getting solid election integrity measures passed to prevent a redux of 2020.

I am also praying that Trump doesn't run again in 2024.

I think the media stoked hatred against Trump is now insurmountable for Trump and he cannot ever win another term.

Things look dicey for us all.

Not to mention, Bush didn't start those wars. Our intelligence agencies did.

Obama 'started' even more wars but the media just didn't bother to tell us about them because the Anointed One should never be held to account.

What about the idea that Bush came into office wanting to go to war with Iraq? Wasn't bush a CIA guy, anyways?

Malicious idiots will participate in any power structure. Democracy is the best one because it doesnt gate you out of the game.

Alternatively: Humans are generally malicious idiots. The best power structure is one you can force to leave you alone. (as much as reasonably possible anyway)

The layman will never get past the cover of a book. They will get what looks nice and what they are told is good. Politics were always a popularity vote. When it isn't being engineered from behind the scenes.

When you get right down to it, we didn't survive his first term.

The man also recently said the culture war is a right-wing myth.

Just days before he was publicly carrying around a racist book promoting the extinction of White people. 🤡

He literally had a talking point about what if Treyvon Martin had been his son. Beyond all the woke bullshit that includes such interference should have resulted in immediate dismissal of the case and a denouncement of his actions by the US legal system.

What's this "third term" supposed to mean?

He has great influence as a private citizen because he's a hero of the left?

That Biden is a puppet, and it's the same crew behind Obama that's really running things. Which is true.

Oh. I knew it was a figure of speech but didn't know what it was driving at. OK.

Yes, absolutely. In fact, we'll do alright. Truth is, Obama's not even in charge. That's just it: no one is in charge.

The bureaucracy is running itself. A weak king is kept in place to allow the bureaucrats to run amok. Once the weak king is removed, they'll leave too. They will have plundered the country, but it's nothing we can't recover from.

To be honest, after listening to Epochs Of The Lotus Eaters, Biden reminds me of Æthelred the Unready.
