I wouldn't be surprised if they'll push monkeypox as a COVID-tier threat anyway. (and by "threat", I mean: you should be deathly afraid of it and it's okay to shut down the entire economy and forcefully vaccinate you). reason being, there's enough circumstantial evidence about how this really came about. yet pointing it out is an affront to protected groups and so goes against years of social conditioning. crucially, a person's ability to ignore what he can see with his own eyes, and condemn people who point it out as heretics, is a testament of a being a true believer. it's the humiliation of believing an idea everyone clearly knows is false that creates the most fervent zealots, which the left needs.
