Can't have a cute cat game that people seem to find adorable. They once again need to latch to something popular and try to push their moral panic via it.
Ha!!! If a game makes you feel uncomfortable them play something else or find a different hobby. I need to write a comedy mocking these weirdos
Getting offended is their hobby.
"I DO NOT LIKE THE THING. YOU ARE A BAD PERSON IF YOU DO NOT ADDRESS THE FACT THAT I DO NOT LIKE THE THING."
"Rice paddy hats"
Biomutant is full of those, but no one seems to care when it's rat/cat/weasels wearing them ...
Surprised but happy that the numb-nut "writer" is being called out in the comments.
Was waiting for a sale but now I'm buying it immediately!
edit: bought it, great atmosphere and visuals - pretty standard adventure game with some climbing/exploration puzzles where you figure out how to get from place to place - does include robots in rice paddy hats
They want Videogames to be considered art. Well guess what? Sometimes art will make you feel uncomfortable. Because that’s the point of art. To express something that may challenge you. These hacks really have nothing to write about, do they?
Putting asians in your cyberpunk future is problematic. It is much more progressive to imagine a world where asians no longer exist.
Fucking pussies that need their ass kicked right onto a boat to China.
Good Lord... the stupidity and nonsensical arrogance... it burns...
Don't care still play. Meow meow meow.
Game seemed interesting, is it any good?
~4 hours in great so far, it is a good adventure game so if you like exploration puzzles and "solving the mystery of the world" type stuff
your god is fake and your death will be celebrated.
Reminds me of many post apocalyptica / rebooted world stories where "ancient relics of a bygone civilization" are misused because they're not understood.
Waterworld is a good example of this. There doesn't have to be understanding or homage or "cultural appreciation" of every damn thing.
The robots simply found texts and records of them being hats, when they found one in the street. Done. They found the purpose of the object. It's a hat. They treat it as such.
And honestly as humans, we'd do well to emulate this.
I love the hypocrisy of the social mob. Everything has to be multicultural and diverse and accepting,no lines or boundaries and then in the next breath of ore their own rules and deride you for if oring the cultural differences.
You'd think they'd love it, it's a game made for crazy cat ladies.
Article written by Sisi Jiang.
Holy shit. 🤣
There are many Sisi Jiang's on the Internet, but this one is by far the most... Kotaku.
The good thing about token diversity hires is that you can assign a column to the one who can wag their finger the hardest guilt-free.
kotaku is obviously based on the japanese word "otaku" (rough translation being nerd so western anime fans started to use it but it tends to have very negative connotations in japan)
姜思琪 is Chinese not Japanese
also 思琪 from what i can tell appears to be romanized in pinyin (wade-giles is not used enough for me to find an easy lookup) as siqi and is pronounced more like "soochi"
