They make a fair point if you fail to understand that the conservatives are talking about different teachers. Nobody is arming danger-haired Libs as if they'd even deign to touch a gun let alone gain proficiency with it. Not to mention the armed teachers who take education seriously probably wouldn't also be groomers since groomers like children vulnerable.
Are the teachers going to shoot children now? Or are they going to shoot the armed stranger threatening to shoot at them?
Left thinks the bad guys more often than not end up taking your weapon and using it against you.
Like a movie where that bad guy says "ok now kick over you gun". That's how they see it going down if teachers are armed.

This kind of overlooks the point that any teachers who are armed would be armed voluntarily.
No one is against teachers wanting to teach History, Mathematics or established science. What people are against is people teaching the 1619 Project, Mathematics that makes problem about racial stupidity, and the science Established by John Money the great pedo abuser.

Any teacher who would be willing to even touch a gun would probably be better on all those issues, so if anything this is two birds with one stone.
