There's a guy at my work who is basically reddit incarnate. He posts dumb screenshots from there all the time. He speaks in the cutesy, affected, self-important, yet sniveling way they always do. He's basically "kind stranger": the person. He produces close to nothing in terms of work. He gives unsolicited, nonsensical advice to people far more competent than him.
I'm tired of listening to his drivel, and I want to fuck with him. I need a way to do it which won't come off as hostile or aggressive. How do I irritate this redditard as much as he irritates me? We work remotely, so our interraction is all chat and zoom.
I was going to suggest the same thing.
I would use your example, but add the qualifier that all sources given are "problematic".
standard NPC behavior. the real issue is that NPCs only have a small number of whitelisted approved talking point providers with a guaranteed lib bent, and if you post any other source that isn't on their whitelist, they'll reject it out of hand and make up some excuse.
it's how the woke mind virus keeps its hosts insulated from non-woke ideas.
So: Wikipedia?
That's a good one.
Ask him "when does the narwhal bacon". If he replies "at midnight", you're legally allowed to beat him to death.
I feel like we're an entire generation removed from that era of redditor. He probably wouldn't even get the reference.
It's crazy how much that place has changed in the last ten years or so. Back then reddit was predominantly libertarian.
The libertarian bent was organic like it was with all the other tech platforms prior to 2010 or so. The problem is that their libertarian bent made them unwilling to gatekeep the trannies, and we all know what happens when trannies are allowed to infest a community.
Seriously.
Reddit back then was closer to 4chan than to what it is now.
Aaron Schwartz literally died defending free speech.
Ellen Pao and Spez deplatformed half of the US political parties to suck wall street’s cock
Spez is a cuck.
Maybe I should flex on him about how old my reddit account is. Then just out reddit him on everything. Start talking about the importance of providing hormones to teens in need, so he has to agree.
lmao
Bring up to HR that reddit is a heavily pornographic website, almost 50% of their content is porn, and that you feel uncomfortable with staff linking to something that abuses women and women-identifying persons like that, so frequently and with such abandon while ostensibly using company resources like company chatrooms and company time.
If you're at work, work. You're on company time. If you're browsing r/Waifus on the clock, you're quite literally defrauding the company, since you're acting outside your employment contract.
Wait, there's a r/ Waifus?
brb
Do you know his account? If not, constantly claim you found it by linking to stupid shit like /r/ThatHappened or /r/AmITheAsshole
If you do, create an alt and post doxx as a reply to any comment he makes, followed with "I found him on the Trump donor list." Doesn't matter that it's not true.
I don't know his account. Maybe he'll slip up with one of his screen shots.
Step 1. Go to the gym Step 2. Get in way better shape than him Step 3. Beat him up
Unfortunately it's impossible. There's nothing you can do to beat him at his own game of being super annoying within the societal limits. Any attempt you might make will get spotted right away.
If you truly despise him, then you should work hard and get promoted, then abuse your position of power to subtly fuck him over by treating him like a red headed step child and favoring everyone else.
Sauce?
Sauce???
Just tell him Reddit don’t matter in the real world and most posts on Reddit are NSFW for reasons of pornographic or crude humor. Make sure other employees are present and let the rumor mill commence.
