dedicating further resources to ‘Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion’ initiatives

All that accomplishes is more of this shit in your future.

Activision Blizzard also highlighted their various changes regarding personnel, which included dedicating further resources to ‘Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion’ initiatives and the hirings of new Chief People Officer Julie Hodges and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Kristen Hines, the latter of whom is taksed with bringing “diverse and inclusive perspectives” to various elements of the company’s game designs, including “storylines, character development, gameplay and community interaction”.

If the findings are to be believed, big IF, then it was a hit job. An acceleration toward woke and make it easier for microsoft to buy them.

Also to note that Chief People Officer and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer are both women. So far it looks like a hit job done by feminists.

Having worked there for 5 years, some of it during the period in question, I do believe this specific finding. The company was full of awkward nerds being awkward around any pretty (or even just non-ugly) girls, but there were very few creeps, and almost all of them were male feminists who got themselves promptly fired for sexual harassment.

Yeah but it still worked didn't it?
They're going on and in about "cooperating in good faith" with california's politburo... mean diversity inclusion office or whatever.

If a white man has a job somewhere, and makes good money, they work to make him unemployed and homeless.

If the findings are to be believed, big IF,

I feel we're usually against #metoo type shit, but a lot of this forum went full in on the Blizzard shit.

I have personally no issue recognizing this was a complete hit. People were mad at Blizzard suddenly making shit games so they jumped on the "bash blizzard" ship really fast. The whole "Cosby Suite" shit was so massively overblown, I dunno why people couldn't see through it.

When the state of California became involved, you knew it was just a feminist coup.

I’m shocked! You mean people who claim harassment aren’t always being honest? I guess MeToo lied to me.

They also said that Diablo Immortal would be good.

I've not tried it, nor will I but I understand it made a lot of money. I hate mobile games in general, at least free games with in game purchases.

Mobile games aren’t games. They’re casinos that don’t pay out.

The claims of it making $24 million in two weeks are questionable at best, even aside from it being less than what a PC Diablo would make.

That isn't data from Blizzard. The headlines are from estimates made by reporters and sensational analytics companies trying to drum up business. It's no different than the headlines years ago about how VR was on track to make $20 billion that year (spoiler: it wasn't even a fraction of that).
