TL;DR - We're not willing to pay wages sufficient enough to attract more workers (www.vox.com)

Posting unarchived Vox links is like barebacking a street walker.

Damn right. Seriously OP? I just clicked a Vox article. Shame on you. I guess shame on me for clicking this shit without checking.

Not archiving content, especially trash like Vox, should be grounds for a permanent posting ban.

At least the post link should be changed by mods, or deleted altogether.

The true unemployment rate is over 22%. https://www.thebalance.com/what-is-the-real-unemployment-rate-3306198

There's no way Amazon has exhausted its labor pool. It's exhausting the pool of labor that is willing to work the conditions of those warehouses and management for the paltry amount Amazon is willing to pay.

This is little more than Amazon signaling to legislatures that more immigration needs to take place.

churns through the equivalent of its entire front-line workforce year after year.

Yea, sounds like people just don't want to work there.

U-6 is not the "true unemployment rate", and even if it were it's 7.1%, not 22%.

Amazon doesn't need to worry about exhausting its labor force, but that's because as interest rate hikes retard the economy and inflation continues to grow, demand will drop and they won't need as many people.

The only employment rate I concern myself with is the, um, employment rate. Retired people are fine, nothing against them, but when not enough people work you have problems. I don't really care why they don't work.

Have they checked with the local welfare department yet? Sent scouts out to poach from the temp agencies?

Vox is garbage. They are all in on “everything is racist” and they apparently don’t think you have any responsibility in how much you make. Not saying Amazon has no problems but I certainly wouldn’t go by what vox says. Companies could do better but if my company doesn’t change at some point I have to leave.

TLDR; we used up all the surplus niggers. Ban abortions!

I have no problem removing the minimum wage. The competition for labor will likely put people like Vox journalists out of work, and society can finally begin to recover.

People would work for lower wages if they didnt keep raising the cost of living via minimum wage hikes.

Their solutions exacerbate the problem so they can continue gaining more power.

How successful do you think they'll be at replacing the job with robots? (which is Amazon's stated goal)
