Former President Donald Trump said Friday that he will seriously evaluate pardons for some defendants who were charged by the federal government in connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol incident.
“And if I become president someday—if I decide to do it—I will be looking at them very very seriously for pardons,” Trump told an audience, as applause and cheers erupted. “They’ve been treated very unfairly.”
The balls of this guy after fucking them over on his way out...
So he is still "monitoring the situation" instead of even tacitly committing to what he should have done when he was still in the Oval.
Correct, unless cornered he will continue trying to evade commitment. His aversion to this says to me that he's been assimilated (by hook or by crook) into the regime in some fashion.
This is why I fear the worst, and most likely, outcome of 2024 is a Trump victory.
if he was compromised he should've just stayed quiet and fade into history, but no, he has to come back out and shill for the vax and weirdo gops and imagine himself some king maker, fucking grifter
Social prestige with shitlibs is a huge achilles heel for even many hardened dissidents.
Hmm, so we need zealots then? Not sure were we will find an hardened zealot among the elites, so we need to grow a new batch.
There are hardcore zealots on SPLC/ADL/Hope Not Hate/etc hit lists that want to put the shitlibs in camps while still getting social validation from them. Social prestige from shitlibs is a weird phenomenon that might come from a life of swimming in propaganda. We probably need to wander the forests for 40 year to get a couple generations that have never been exposed, then send them out like koryos to reconquer western civilization.
Should have pardoned them on his way out. Optics didnt matter at that point.
made sure to pardon bunch of fellow huwite financial criminals though
And reverse his lobbying ban or whatever...
:/
That's not how pardons work numbnuts. You actually have to be convicted first. Although this comment of his here has put my support for him on deaths door
No, you don't. Well, it might not be a pardon. But you can be given amnesty. So, semantics aside, he could have done it.
In fact, Nixon could have pardoned himself.
Pardon Chauvin you gutless coward.
He needs to pardon the dude who saved us from Fentanyl Jesus.
Tom Cotton needs to pardon him. Trump doesn't have what it takes to deal with the aftermath.
Trump evades commitment to helping those who helped him like he tried to evade fatherhood for that girl he ignores.
All non-violent protestors need to be pardoned, period, and that includes many that went inside the capitol building.
"It'll be wild!"
gets wild
"Go home! I don't know these people."
At least he's starting to talk about it more. It's a gutsy move going against the Jan 6th narrative after it's been so entrenched.
That said, that it took him this long, and his other fuckups, means he can't be trusted, sadly. I'd love it if Trump was just unequivocally based, but he's not. He's something along the lines of a better, slightly less swampy, and more patriotic swamp critter. He's also, and we all knew this for years, an egomaniac who isn't loyal to people who can't be useful to him.
Still, I'm glad he's giving a very public voice to calling out the Jan 6th agenda. That's...something.
I was a YUGE Trump supporter. The YUGEST, believe me. He did do A LOT of good. Had a website I posted to daily for five years to keep friends and family informed of what the MSM would never bring them.
But... I agree with your last sentence and my own epilogue on him has been he didn't keep those around him that truly supported him early. He hired more swamp in his arrogance. I mean he really couldn't see the shit I was seeing? He didn't do a thing during all the rioting in blue cities. He did not prepare for the massive fraud many of us knew was coming*. And he lured them in and bailed on his staunchest supporters on 1/6.
He, in the end, is a coward and he personally handed the country to the NWO instead of fighting when it was the last chance we had.
I had a party in September 2020 and one simpleton kept raving on how it would be a landslide for Trump. And I specifically said "And they are going to be prepared to not let 2016 happen again. There will be massive voter fraud."
He seriously had no safeguards in place, as the President, and then to watch the shitshow after of those marched out, fighting for him more than he did, while also being a mess and a joke.
He had many tools he could have used, during his presidency and at the end, but he chose to say 'fuck it' and let the country be handed to the NWO.
It's even worse than that. In 2018 his administration created a report on election fraud and outlined exactly what the dangers were, what safeguards needed to be put in place, and what contingencies they could enact in the event of fraud. Apparently he was given a game plan and still did nothing.
Can these people be pardoned? Don't you have to actually be "guilty" before that's possible?
