You know, seeing how the federal government is and obviously has been for some time, I'm starting to consider myself more and more as a a citizen of my state first and then an American.

Hell, I've taken to actively separating citizens from their governments. I have no beef with the citizens of China, Russia, Ukraine, USA, or anywhere else. Their governments, however, could die in a fire and nothing of value would be lost. I legit do not believe there is a single truly representative government left on this earth.
I'd still keep an eye on anyone with citizenship in the People's Republic of China. Nothing against them personally, but the CCP's social credit system means they're effectively being held hostage by their government. This is especially true if they still have family living under the PRoC, as the CCP can use that for leverage.
