It might have the opposite effect. Who wants to move to a country with a collapsing economy, plagued by shortages with no jobs and 10% inflation?

IIRC at one point during the housing collapse, the US had net negative immigration to Mexico. The immigrants can't take our jobs when there are no jobs. rollsafe.png
