Let’s be real, the term general is very loosely used. The depth of difference between Eisenhower and any US general of the past 30 years makes the difference between a SEAL and pregnant PS3 look non existent.
Duh. He's a globalist Jew television comedian. He wasn't up for this, not now and not ever. The Russians are the second most battle hardened army in the world right now, and unlike us they haven't wasted an entire generation of training efforts shooting desert rats.
People don’t seem to understand just how pathetically corrupt Ukrainian government is. All it has been is a facsimile of the Banana Republics. Russian used it as a money funnel, then the US did, now Russia wants it back as a money funnel from Europe again. That’s all the “war” is. The entirety of the US involvement is the US politicians being pissy because their families and friends will no longer be making billions off the Ukrainian energy and security sectors. Remember, James Clapper, Nancy Pelosi’s son, Mitt Romneys kid, and Hunter Biden were among the few ones outed in the Ukrainian energy scandal but are far from the only.
I guess Ukraine elites miss out because I'm going to guess Putin is going to send less Russian tax rubles to launder than the US political elites were sending in US tax dollars.
Well, had they simply signed a neutrality agreement a few months ago, or if we hadn't elected the most feckless leader since Carter, none of this would have happened.
This never was going to take long. Strong military versus corrupt mess of a country. So now it will be pretty much the same corrupt mess under Russian control instead of USA/EU control. In return the Russians don't get to import a few things they didn't want anyway.
Considering that Ukraine is already offering neutrality, it would not take much to come to a 'favorable compromise'.
If you start out making outrageous demands, that may sabotage the negotiations from the beginning.
Putin can come out of this having dealt the Regime a bloody nose and get what he wants, but he has to not push past the culminating point as Clausewitz said.
Geez. They will never go for that. That is surrendering more parts of the country to Russia. It is not enough that Russia has Crimea, parts of Georgia, parts of Moldovia , Belarus...
And Finland showing interest in Joining Nato after this... I wonder if putin thought this through.
Realized his feminist "allies" such as Finland, Lithuania, Moldova and the United Femdom were perfectly happy to let him and his people die now that the women have evacuated, perhaps?
NATO is useless, but this doesn't prove it is. Ukraine isn't a part of NATO, and NATO itself has little reason to get involved, just like it had little reason to get involved in Nagorno-Karabakh last year.
No. It is very, very stupid, but it is not an act of war.
So what was the gameplan here? You think Zelensky wanted to provoke a war. How exactly did he hope to win that one - knowing, as everyone with a brain does, that no one is going to fight for Ukraine?
Ukraine, president: Volodymyr Zelenskyy, comedian.
Ukraine, minister of defense: Oleksii Reznikov, lawyer and politician.
Russia, president: Vladimir Putin, KGB.
Russia, minister of defense: Sergey Shoygu, General.
The war was over before it started.
Let’s be real, the term general is very loosely used. The depth of difference between Eisenhower and any US general of the past 30 years makes the difference between a SEAL and pregnant PS3 look non existent.
Shoygu is not a general. He is a civil engineer who was the head of their disaster response organisation for twenty years.
No matter, he's still the junkyard dog nobody wants to fuck with.
Worse then, smarter adversary.

Thats why they destroyed the biden story.
Haven’t wasted an entire generation lately
I'll hold off for official sources.
Nice, im gonna light a dookie and itll be as good as sending ukrai reinforcements
Don't forget the flag overlay on Facebook!

That sounds like he hasnt requested one just yet.
Putin is imposing close to impossible demands - so I'm pessimistic that this will end any time soon.
That could just be a negotiation tactic - ask for the impossible and then reach a favorable compromise.
Considering that Ukraine is already offering neutrality, it would not take much to come to a 'favorable compromise'.

What are they? Can you give me a summary or something more to read?
Recognition of Crimea. Ukranian neutrality.
So far, it's reasonable.
But also the expansion of the People's Republics to the complete regions of Donetsk and Luhansk - 2/3 of which is now controlled by Ukraine.
Geez. They will never go for that. That is surrendering more parts of the country to Russia. It is not enough that Russia has Crimea, parts of Georgia, parts of Moldovia , Belarus...

Trading Finland for Ukraine is a no-brainer.
Realized his feminist "allies" such as Finland, Lithuania, Moldova and the United Femdom were perfectly happy to let him and his people die now that the women have evacuated, perhaps?
He wasn't the one who started the war...
Pretty sure allowing the US to place missiles in Ukraine is an act of war.
Putin just proved that NATO is completely useless.
America caused this war when we transformed Ukraine into an American vassal state in 2014.
NATO is useless, but this doesn't prove it is. Ukraine isn't a part of NATO, and NATO itself has little reason to get involved, just like it had little reason to get involved in Nagorno-Karabakh last year.
How? Ukraine is not a NATO member. Just because they want to be does not necessitate a war between nuclear powers
it is useless as an organization, but it has sho\wn that a competent defense grp is needed
Poutine, I like it!

I begin to see the problem.
our best president of the last 20 years was a game show host. being an entertainer is not always a problem.
Once is not a formula.
so itd be better to have a lawyer candidate like most other politicians then
Perhaps he actually bought into the rhetoric his allies were spewing. Or maybe the flood of EU money into Ukraine clouded his judgment.
None of his “Allies” ever promised troops on the ground. They said sanctions and small arms
Yeah because getting nuked was in their plans for the month
