Ooof, looks like they finally got to him? I wonder what's at stake for him to act like this?

He has a family, they probably threatened his 2 baby girls.

That makes sense, they do go after the most vulnerable people I suppose.

finally

He's been cowing for a while now. He accepted the deletion of past episodes a long time ago.

I think people are putting a lot of expectations on Joe that never were reality.

He was never some super based crusader of this side of the culture war. He simply was the only guy who let some non-approved people talk on his show. This doesn't count as endorsement, even if its a friendly interview. In a way, he is too nice/simple of a guy to be antagonistic (see the Jack Dorsey interview) even when they are clearly peddling bullshit.

Don't create heroes out of nothing just so you can be disappointed in them.

Very well-put. My sentiment exactly.

being less IDW is unequivocally good.

One episode does not really prove that. It's good to hear from both sides.

nah, your "hot take" is still bullshit.

joe rogan openly said when he had malone on that he put out invites to fucking everyone. fauci, walensky, any health minister of any first world country, shit, even biden. none of them would accept because they can't take a 3 minute interview without getting BTFO'd, nevermind a 2+ hour conversation. that's why JRE came across as one-sided... because the faggots are afraid to talk.

this guy admit in the first 10 min that natural immunity is fucking awesome. rogan questions him with a blasted face on kids infections, and the guy barely drops any stats at all. this is not JRE flipping, it's the tyrants waiving the white flag.

He has said numerous times he wants to hear both sides of the issue, and he means it. You should listen to the climate change interview, Joe presses him a bunch.

I don't think many listeners expect or want him to 'pick a side'.

Just giving a platform to a skeptic is pretty good.

Also, it's all upsides for him if Spotify cancels the contract. He walks away with $200 million and just continues on Rumble or something.

You don't get why Joe shouldn't bother with this shit.

WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT THE OTHER SIDE IS SAYING. They say it everywhere, we get it shoved in our face every time we open a fucking browser, jump on Twitter, go on Youtube, etc.

We already know what they're going to say.

Have you really listened to a climate alarmist for 3 hours? Even if you don't want to, there are many others who do want that. It makes little sense for him to only talk to unorthodox figures.

Why? Climate alarmists and COVID propagandists are found everywhere else. You can't escape from any of them, so for him to have one of these fuckers just spouting the same dumb shit that we've already heard millions of times isn't productive in any way. He's not having this person on because he thinks it's good to have an open discussion, he's having this person on because he was forced to.

Joe Rogan is a Bernie Sanders supporting leftist. Just an open-minded one. He doesn't have to be 'forced' to do it, and you have no evidence to back it up.

I am pretty sure you could not steelman climate alarmists or Covidians. That's because all you - and I - have heard are the low IQ propaganadists, as opposed to a long-form conversation with someone who is intelligent. I'd like someone like that to answer some questions.

Talking with people is not bad.

To give Rogan the benefit of the doubt, he DID announce he'd make a better effort to interview people with opposing positions on current issues, especially the more contentious ones.

I seriously doubt Rogan's or anyone else's views on the coof clampdown will change as a result.

My initial reaction to his second apology was, "Never apologize to the totalitarian woke juggernaut," but then I remembered that he's a "progressive" with very hippie-like values, so he's not really changing his stripes at all. In fact, he and Jimmy Dore are the only two likeable media progressives I've seen.

He interviews people he finds interesting, though I prefer his podcasts with his gang of comedian buddies . . . after all, he is a comic, so I look elsewhere for political discussion.
