Cripes, the original Wii was very popular in old age homes, for getting the residents up and moving a bit. More fun than shuffleboard.

Selling video games? What year is this?

I couldn't sell any of my games even if I wanted to. Plus, I already have a weight set.

Couldn't do any classes even if I wanted to either. Us filthy unvaxxed aren't allowed to enter gyms.

Also, physical games can be played anytime you want. If you get rid of them and decide you want to play them again, your only options are digital (whether it's the high seas or a storefront). And storefronts are becoming more and more draconian by the year, so it's best to keep the physical collection for as long as possible.

martial arts classes

No, don't do that, it takes decade of practice to be very good at it and you're still limited by your body.

Buy a fucking gun for fuck sake, it's not called the great equalizer for no reason.

Do both. They complement each other.

Contact sports are good for that in general, from Rugby to MMA, I agree with you and acp_k2win, I just want to remind people that being a competent martial artist is not only difficult but very time consuming.

Glowie right here. Asking us to use lethal means as the first option.

You're overestimating both how easy it is to learn martial arts and how easy it is to be seriously injured by someone "unarmed". This is especially true if you're out numbered. One blow to the right spot could easily spell death, brain damage or some other debilitating injury. If you're in a situation where you need to defend yourself a gun will always be the best choice.

Exactly. It sounds like someone who's never been punched in the face by someone who knows how to throw a punch.

Glowie right here

Bitch your account is 5 days old and your only post is asking people to sell their viddya and take CQB classes instead, there is a higher percentage of you being a glow in the dark CIA nigger rather than me.

Go back posting unironic picture of you naked on /fit/.

Asking us to use lethal means as the first option.

Where did I did that? What does that make of your message telling people to "buy martial arts classes"?

You could be a 7 foot fucking yeti that trained 20 years by wrestling bears, you receive a 5.56x45 center mass and you drop like everyone else, that's the universal truth.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

-C.S. Lewis

A "manly" man is not afraid of being able to enjoy things for children. There is a distinction between being able to experience youthful joy and being immature. You clearly do not understand that. This applies to all the people complaining about anime and cartoons as well.

As an adult I am amply able to afford both weight set and video games. I think enjoying video games is fine in moderation, I can’t agree more with working out at home, though. All the Gyms close to me are turbo-pozzed.

90% of martial arts classes are absolute trash, don't bother. You can honestly get the basics taught better for free on YouTube, half of them will actively teach incorrect technique or will at least just sit and let low aptitude students injure themselves for no good reason by not correcting bad habits and letting them try to brute force things. Any instructor worth a damn and able to teach better than that isn't just teaching random middle aged bums how to throw their first punches, he's teaching real contenders.

By all means get some pads and gloves and a buddy to slap you around the head when you drop your guard though, that can be fun and educational.

There was a guy on an old MMO forum I used to haunt that was going through life without a car (and a lot of other stuff frankly). Dude had to bike everywhere and was absolutely jacked. Absolute fucking weeb who spent a shit ton of time on one of the worst time sink MMOs I've ever encountered, but the dude was in better shape than most people could ever hope to be.
