People where I live were generally behaving normally for the last few months like how it was before the globalist pandemic started but after the recent fearmongering, I sadly see many more useless masks on faces and I can see that the fear is spreading.
Yesterday my leftist aunt just went full Eric Ding level of COVID hysteria by trying to force double masking on my COVID recovered grandparents.
I was stunned when I learned that she actually got the booster shot after she had a bad adverse reaction that caused her a serious eye problem after the original two shots.
The rational members of my family have had to tell her to fuck off and not to torment my grandparents with her hysteria.
The sad truth is that the WEF globalists have already fully succeeded with their Great Reset plans. They have destroyed normality.
I am feeling more blackpilled than ever.
It's actually fascinating that people are able to maintain a consistent panic for so long. I haven't given a shit about this virus since I got it last year and it amounted to a stuffy nose.
I would have expected to see panic fatigue set in by now, and for everyone to just be bored and burnt out, especially in the liberal places which never broke lockdown.
It makes me wonder if people are really afraid at all. Maybe we're mis-interpreting this. Maybe people aren't afraid, maybe they're actually excited. Maybe this is like a horror movie adrenaline rush/virtue signal now, and leftists want it to continue because it gives them a feeling of purpose and righteousness they haven't had since religious revivals went out of style.
That has some truth to it. It makes them excited and they need that excitement to deal with their dull lives.
Well, it's the same people that fuel HOA horror stories. Or the same types who join certain community organizations in small towns and turn into Flower Nazis.
I think boredom is part of that. They have reached the American dream, and have nothing left.
There are also those who get to act as commissars in many countries where the "rules/laws" are little more than government guidance. Enough to give an outline for what should be done and create public shaming, but no actual legal push to do so meaning the various governments can turn around and say "We didn't force anyone to do that!"
There is a bit of that as well. But then everything is perfect again, and they are bored, so they make new rules or regulations.
The revealed preferences of the Branch COVIDians does not match their stated beliefs. If people thought there was still a pandemic, they wouldn't be out and about the way they are. If the masks worked the way people claim they do, they wouldn't be comfortable sitting down for a meal where everyone has to take their masks off. No one that you meet truly believes any of it.
I've had countless interactions with leftists who "forgot their masks".
If this were really a lethal pandemic, no one would fucking "forget" their mask.
Forgetting your mask in a lethal death-plague is about on par with forgetting your gun when you're storming the beaches of Normandy. How many soldiers forgot their basic equipment I wonder?
Same with wearing it properly. Like its pretty simply to do, and if the death plague was that bad you would deal with how uncomfortable it is to make sure it was affixed proper.
"So long as man remains free he strives for nothing so incessantly and so painfully as to find someone to worship."
-- Fyodor Dostoevsky
“When man ceases to worship God he does not worship nothing but worships everything.”
-- G.K. Chesterton
"There is a God-shaped hole in the human heart that only God can fill."
-- Augustine, Bishop of Hippo
This is true because selective breeding. If someone did not worship god, they were a heretic and killed. Thus people have been conditioned to follow the group and bow to whatever idol was erected at the local church.
The pope gave them a free pass because banking IS a useful tool. But relying on foreigners for banking clearly has been a disaster.
So you’re theory is that the belief in God is a genetic phenomenon? Can beliefs be transmitted genetically?
Yes! Well, almost. I remember seeing a study that liberal/conservative values had a genetic component. That hole people feel that spirituality seems to fill also likely is genetic, as spirituality is a means for a tribe to bond together over something besides blood. Religion is really important for maintaining a larger tribe.
There's no fatigue because people have no meaning or purpose in their life and being scared of something gives them some semblance of meaning.
Yeah the maskers now see it as a status symbol.
People aren’t afraid of the virus as much as they’re afraid of being left behind. The virus is rationalization to why they must go along with society. They don’t want to be excluded and they can’t imagine a world where the government would blatantly lie to them about vaccine poison without their entire societal world view crumbling around them. Because they cling to that lie, going with the flow is the natural and only way forward. Because to do anything else would mean radical reconstruction of their entire world view. So get the vaccine. It’s totally crazy to think it’s “that bad”
I can give you my perspective.
I live with older family members, who are both highly susceptible to covid. And I'm young, but I'm still in several risk categories. We got the grandmother vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine (conventional vaccine, not weird mRNA bullshit) because she's very old, in her mid 90s, and likely doesn't have to worry about long-term effects (maybe it's cruel to say, but it's true).
Meanwhile, we didn't get the vaccine because it's still a pretty risky proposition and instead of the vaccine, we can just, instead, be careful.
We're not afraid, there's no fear, there's no obedience, there's no compliance. There's only some caution. Me and my family wear a mask because from what we've looked into, it filters out some 10% of the particles that carry the virus. A 10% reduced chance of one of my family members dying is worth it for a bit of inconvenience. We don't wear a mask as a fashion accessory or a talisman, we treat it as the biohazard that it is. We also don't care what other people do, we do what we think is best for ourselves according to the research we've done.
When the virus evolves to be less lethal, when herd immunity (or some level of equilibrium) is reached, or when years of research are done on a conventional vaccine (most likely the Chinese one), I look forward to living 100% normally - although admittedly, I don't actually live any differently except that I wear a mask in public transit (never outside) and only go somewhere if there's an actual reason to.
It's a 10% reduction of particles that pass through the material which is almost none of them. Large droplets may be blocked by the mask but smaller droplets and aerosols will just flow around it. I wear glasses so every time I couldn't see shit because all the condensation on my glasses it was a reminder that the mask wasn't doing shit. Even if it did filter 10% that doesn't mean a linear reduction because there's no reason to think the relationship is linear. The reduction would depend on how often you are in the narrow band where there's enough viral particles to infect you but not slightly more than enough viral particles to infect you.
It's funny you say that, because I've recently made an observation about people who get covid. The people who are "more informed" overwhelmingly display significantly more severe symptoms. Here, "more informed" means "spent more time looking up symptoms on the internet and watching the news".
It's strange, unless you're aware of what they call "med student hypochondriasis". Med students will begin studying diseases and mysterious start displaying symptoms of many of them. The explanation, of course, is that they're psyching themselves out into feeling sick even though they're not.
All of the people I know who got "very ill" from covid would always start rattling off technical, medical terminology despite the fact that I know none of them could tell the difference between an osis and an itis. These medically illiterate people are complaining about parosmia and angeusia with a side of labyrinthitis and syncope, and it's very clear they're just feeling whatever CNN or WebMD told them they would feel.
It feels like that one scene in Star Trek TNG where Picard is being tortured. His torturer shines four lights on him and tells him that there are actually five lights. The idea is that once Picard got broken down enough, he'd agree that there are five even though there are not, which would signal that he's ready to say or believe anything. The torturer would have total control over his reality.
These people are getting the sniffles, but because the news told them that it causes all sorts of terrible shit, they start feeling it. The MSM is actually inducing physical symptoms in them. That's how powerful the control is.
Yes. You can't be under that level of extreme stress and anxiety for so long. Look at soldiers in wartime. Religions have stood the test of time, cults are new. Therefore it's a cult.
True believers have a lot of anxiety and fear about judgement, in the afterlife. Subverted cultists fear judgement in their day to day life.
That's a huge part of it.
I also think a lot of people aren't afraid of covid specifically. They're actually just extremely afraid of death. What we're seeing is an atheistic and narcissistic generation of people dealing with the existential dread of their own mortality, and it's incredibly destructive. The greatest generation never would have destroyed the global economy or put they're grandkids in masks just to grind out an extra few months at the end.
