I’m not latino but I have a ton of Latino friends “worked in largely Hispanic areas for a while” and I know that this is a term a lot of Hispanics hate. Sounds like some garbage from a university

The truth is that "latinx" will not change any votes. Most Latinos or Hispanics will say it is a dumb word and move forward with their lives. Democrats will stay democrats and republicans will stay republican.
Progressives will progress without opposition. At this point, they are just showing off their control and do not give a fuck.

Hopefully pride comes before the fall.

Where I live in Texas I notice a lot of Latinos voting red. But it could just be a local thing.

I'm glad but I assume those voting red have been here for a long time, maybe second or third generation. If you live with the American dream then you identify with that more then a stupid label.

Unfortunately the power of labels is real, I have a muslim colleague at work. Early on he dumped some high profile tough case on me without proper justification. I work in tech support. I got angry and told him WTF dude, why did you dump this on me. He instantly accused me of discriminating against him for being muslim. Luckily at the time the company was not as woke as it is now and all I got was sitting in and being scolded at, despite not doing anything wrong. There is no doubt in my mind that if that happened today I would get fired.

Think how much power a label has. This level of control over others, over a giant company is insane. Is like the one ring in a way, power that corrupts.

And there are other stories just like mine from other people I know.

Yep. Labels are powerful and people will use them in a second. We have to stop letting them be so powerful but that’s easier said than done.

This is why I was laughing when I saw left wing papers shocked that Florida went red with the help of Cuban immigrants and their descendants. I’m thinking do these people realize why they fled Cuba

Hispanics, specially 1st generation, are traditional and are getting fed up with all the woke nonsense. They hold values similar to those held by working class whites in the 1950s, centered around family, religion and work ethic.

Some of them are starting to realize that the woke left does not represent them. In California, they were the largest group pushing for Gavin's recall.

"Latinx" is a white liberal effort to subvert core Hispanic values and replace them with woke's victim mentality.

If that doesn't work, they will be demonized as "privileged" racist nazis with a nice tan.

I’m black and I get called a white supremacist so I know about the whole “multicultural whiteness”. But yea I am sure they will turn on Latinos if they consistently vote red in the future.

"The future of Whiteness could rest with Latinos... Racism will likely be just as entrenched in a browner America as it is now. It will still be White supremacy, with a tan."

Wow. So the fact that they don’t consider minorities “authentic” unless they have certain political views isn’t racist to them?

It does not matter what the adults think, what matters is what their children are made to think.

Bane is Latino in the comics. His father was a freedom fighter in some dictatorship on a Caribbean island. He got caught and sentenced to something like 30 years in jail. When he died shortly after being sentenced, they decided that his son would serve his sentence.

OK... But that's not exactly the "Bane" Tom Hardy played, is it..?

That "Black hole of Calcutta" tower prison thing was most definitely in the Islamic World somewhere, and Ras is... Definitely not Latino, to say the least.

The whole point, I thought, of the Dark Knight Trilogy, is that it's meant to be more "grounded in realism" than any other Batman, no..?

Which makes this "Latinks" thing even more jarring, as someone who actually can speak Español...

Only people who have never been close enough to hear what they actually sound like call them "latinx".
