Remember, it's been shown in peer reviewed studies that left aligned individuals are only concerned with power and do not hold anything as sacred. They are more than willing to throw away yesterday's ideology in favor of a new one if it suppresses their opponents and gives them more power/leverage
The only principle progressives hold is to punish enemies and reward friends; everything else is a post hoc rationalization.
