The establishment always insists that even self-proclaimed conservative candidates distance themselves from the "radical right" deplorables, and he's refused to.

And then the media/other politicians are like the preppy bullies who now pair the cute girl with the weirdo because she was nice to him and refused to bully him like them.

In the past year and a half, the government's suddenly gained the ability to determine where you can go, what jobs you can have, and even what you can do in your own home, to an extent. The one thing they have yet to be able to regulate is your own body.
So it's a matter of principle. They withhold from the government the one thing that it can't take. Even if the vaccine was determined to be 100% safe, 100% effective, and the pandemic really was as deadly for everyone as its portrayed, they still would not do it.
