If only there were some form of transportable, storable energy, that was efficient enough to store in a small space yet accessible enough that it could be used immediately in order to generate power. Ideally it could be found in just massive lakes underground.
It's amazing what humans are willing to tolerate when you condition them. People in other states would riot if they were subjected to California's rolling blackouts.
As a coastal California resident, what rolling blackouts? The regions making up California have vastly different qualities, but most Californians live in unacceptable areas.
Huge numbers of them live in burn areas, with zero work done to the defensive zones around their homes. Tons of them live in areas where it freezes, and/or has temps over 80F. There are mexican stab towns, urban hells, and sketchy places of all kinds.
Having lived in the north, the east, and the south, coastal California is the only part of the US that's tolerable. 71F today.
In the past week, the California Independent System Operator (ISO) told residents several times to voluntarily conserve energy, including asking them on social media to stop charging their electric vehicles (EVs) during peak usage times. The operator also warned users to “[avoid] use of large appliances and turning off extra lights."
"This usually happens in the evening hours when solar generation is going offline and consumers are returning home and switching on air conditioners, lights, and appliances,” wrote the ISO.
Man, if only there were energy options that didn't vary dramatically throughout the day in their output levels.
This is solar and wind power's dark secret. The output fluctuates so you have to have something to compensate when output drops. Something that can be dialed up and down easily. Your choices are basically Oil and natural gas.
It's not even a secret, it's screamingly obvious to anyone with two neurons to rub together.
By the way, about a decade ago a "green" politician in my country said in an interview that power outages due to solar are fine because you can just watch TV by candlelight. That's a real thing that a politican said, I'm 100% serious and so was she.
How's that green energy working for you, California?

Nah, nothing that convenient could ever exist.
Haha diesel truck go brrrr
the state that wants to run your life can't even run their own power grid
meanwhile the last time my power went out, it was only for a minute and there was a raging storm outside.
Making this even more insane and risking thousands of lives, California is looking at a very ugly fire season.
If you can't charge your electric car you can't evacuate.

i once reported the street light in front of my house was out and they fixed it the next day

Would be great if the fault line could just split those big cities off into the ocean.
Cascadia fault > San Andreas fault
As long as it's not the New Madrid fault pls thank you
Multiple fault lines, just rapid fire, shake them off like a bad case of fleas.

The blades from the windmills can't be recycled either, so they're just piling up in landfills after being replaced.
Pretty much every good thing leftists advocate is a fucking lie.
hahahahahahahahah
