If the draft is to exist it should only be for training, not for service: if you're worried about the Soviets invading then you'd want your people to be in a state of readiness, but the government should not have the power to force people to fight a war they don't support for a price they are unwilling to accept.
True. There are plenty of support roles that need to be done. Even back in WWII, they had women working in such a capacity through organizations like the WAC, WAVES, and WASP. If a man can be drafted to be a soldier, there's no reason a woman can't be drafted to be a mechanic.

Selective service doesn't necessarily mean on the front lines. Many countries have some kind of service requirement for women.

They don't have to worry about being drafted. Even if drafted they'll just get pregnant to avoid the war. Ask some enlisted men about the phenomenon.
