Cops should be fired for that. Of course I get called a sellout/Uncle Tom when I point out that glorifying ignorant behavior may not be the best thing of you want to succeed in life.
I've been saying for years that they need to rig up the police vehicles that have the potential to be used in urban areas (where they might be surrounded) with a full-frame taser rig, similar to what one might do with an electric fence. Got a bunch of miscreants attempting to stop the vehicle by laying hands on it? Discharge that sucker and I guarantee you they'll let go of it and back the hell off, pronto.
I'm also all for rigging them up with on-board tear-gas deployment and any other number of anti-riot capabilities that can be set up on a standard car.

Absolutely true on both counts.
But if the people living there aren't willing to rally the political support to elect AGs willing to prosecute, or stand against the unenforcement of law, you have three options: leave, arm yourself, or suffer whatever their local blue authority proscribes. Unfortunately the worst of these blue hell holes like NYC or Chicago generally don't let you have guns, so you're really down to two choices.
Legally, anyway. And since we all know that criminals, by definition, give zero fucks about the law, that leaves them with an unarmed populace that is ripe for the picking. As Chris Rock said years ago, "Never go to clubs with metal detectors. Sure it feels safe inside. But what about all those niggas waiting outside with guns? They know you ain't got one." Same thing applies to cities with blanket gun bans. Better to get the hell out of dodge so you can arm up and protect yourself.

They need to be removed entirely, including federal officers, so that the responsible people in an area don't get charged with crimes for defending themselves.
