Human baristas are getting replaced by robots soon.

How did these people manage to get masters degrees when coffee orders are too complicated?

Social sciences didn’t have the same standards for higher education that other sciences at least use to require. A masters or doctorate used to require research and contributions to the field to achieve that status, social sciences, being subjective allowed poor quality research to a written thesis if they required any research at all.

Great way to get an assault charge for some social media points.

People who make that many modifications to an order are just digging their own grave. Keep it simple and it will get done fast. Make it complicated, and more often will take a long time and something will go wrong.

I have an aunt who is like this. Not with coffee, but with every meal she ever orders at a restaurant. She orders 300 modifications to EVERYTHING [she is an incredibly picky eater] and then gets all pissy when they get something ultra minor wrong.

I agree, she dug her own grave by having 300 modifications that she didn't even state clearly to the waiter.

Just replace them with actual robots already. All these social studies graduates can just learn to code or start making solar panels.

Fortunately as a coder this is an old enough trend for people to realize what a death sentence it is for an application. Still happens a lot but not as much.

The new gold rush for outsourcing is due to the huge push for remote. Coders living in high cost areas are completely getting screwed because companies are hiring in cheaper states.

This could be positive if it somewhat reverses the IQ Shredder and keeps intelligent people more distributed instead of concentrating them in major metro areas.

Huh... that’s actually kinda funny.

Get a high five-figure code monkey remote job in flyover wherever, inadvertently decentralize wealth and technology from the coasts.

Well that, but we've also been tapping into Eastern Europe and South America. I have several FTEs in the US but I also have a great contractor down in Argentina and another guy in Poland.

Or in Seattle: "they tax the hell out of my coke but these white girls don't pay the tax on a coffee with even more sugar..."

Yes I do.

These.. well, not champaign socialists, but mocchachino socialists at least... They need a bit of hardship in their lives. They act the way they do because they have NEVER experienced ANY real hardship. Ban their favorite things. Forbid their favorite activities. Oppress them, as they seem so desperately to want to be oppressed with their chants and slogans: Grant their wish.

I feel for the employees, because some of them are seriously just trying to make ends meat, but fuck Starbucks.

KISS stands for Keep It Simple, Stupid.

It means the more complicated you make something, the more likely it is to be fucked up. The Stupid at the end is for when you are surprised by that.

Their goal is not to have a drinkable beverage. It's to cause hardship.

tldr; 'WAH!"

Also, just limit the mods to a drink to 3 or 4. This faggot, fart-sniffing, everyone-is-awesome society that Starbucks is part of is going to collide into itself, starting yesterday, and it will only escalate.

I remember being young and working at a pizza place. Would get poor ass students calling for a small pizza with half 10 ingredients and the other half 10 completely different ingredients. They would often try to get free pizza by saying that a random onion or topping appeared on their partners half and they are deadly allergic. Take into consideration a small pizza is generally 8 inches in diameter. Same freaks.

Wow, REEE is such a detailed language. It's almost like the out-of-touch and cunty economists were correct when they said that ordinary people don't need your sweet shit in an ugly cup (albeit for the wrong reasons).
