Strangely I missed all of the public health incentives and programs that must have been passed in this pandemic. How odd that I didn't get advice from the government on how to improve my health habits, but I was actively prevented from working my job for the past year.
My mother's pressuring me to get it and i'll freely admit to being a fat fuck, but its like... between the virtue signaling and zero testing i'm hesitant to. And i still have to wear a mask indoors anyways (well, state lifted the mandate, but places still require it) so whats the fucking point?

I'm not looking forward to the told-you-sos in 5 years when they start having kids and are dealing with thalidomide esque birth defects, but they don't want to hear it now so whatever. Hope they enjoy not being able to get any compensation for fucking up their own future

I prefer to be mum on the issue unless someone asks me, then I'm going to tell them straight up I did not. I'd prefer to end the discussion at that point, but If they pry into why, then I'll tell them the many reasons -- being in a very low risk demo, questionable positive case and death numbers, no desire to take an experimental vaccine, availability of theraputics, overblown fearmongering, etc.
If they want to personally hold it against me, that's their issue, not mine. If my employer wants to hold it against me, I'll either work from home until some arbitrary date or pursue legal action depending on what they do.

For once I'm glad my government is utterly incompetent. Nobody in my age group can get the vaccine even if they wanted to (with the exception of health care workers and the like). Hell, even 70+ year olds who can technically get it have to wait for months to get an appointment. They completely bungled the procurement of vaccines.

Most corporate companies are giving kickbacks for doing so. Usually just a straight up bribe (my local Kroger offshoot is 100$).
