In some places it isn't even legal to build your property in a way that is inconvenient to harmful criminals. I remember the court case, a guy sued because he broke into a mall at night via skylight... And fell through said skylight, tumbling several stories and injuring himself. Claimed the skylight was clearly trapping the property since it gave under his weight and cutting tools and thus was enticing him to break in that way but led to injury.

We're feeling the aftereffects of a society that's decided everyone is responsible for everyone else's actions EXCEPT the person actually committing the act.

How did that case not get laughed out of the court?

Because our legal system is an absolute fucking joke.

Don't expect the courts to dispense justice or fix anything that has gone wrong with our society.

In big cities, all the judges and juries will be bleeding heart liberals, the types of people who think that thieves steal out of desperation, instead of depravity.

Dumb shit like that is why you're better off, legally speaking, to shoot until they're dead than try to disable them.

It's much harder for the estate to make retarded legal arguments.

Reminder that if the owner were not black twitter would have taken the side of the thief.

Having spent much of my life there, this looks like Texas where if you steal someone's shit, you're liable to get shot.

We lived outside of Dallas in a rural setting. One old woman down the street thought there were burglars on her property and she got her gun prepared to defend but told me "I had to wait for them to come through the door before I could shoot." Fortunately it never got to that point.

People in Texas are serious about protecting their property and the law absolutely allows it.

Do not ever let a person get that close to you in an armed conflict, and do not pull a gun out to aim at the ground.

Safety off, level stance by or behind cover, aim center of mass and lead the target.

At that range it's a weighted coinflip in favor of the guy on the lawn in rushing down the guy on the porch. When he moves up to the porch it is virtually impossible for the guy with the gun to respond in time if the thief pulls a knife.

Again, everything this guy did was wrong. If the thief was slightly more aggressive he'd be dead.

Fake!

If that were a proper thief, they wouldn't have put shit down, they would have just taken off running.
