I'm happy she is going to do it but what are the odds they can make a good movie?
If it fails it may kill any other attempt for counter culture in the movie industry.

Is there any evidence she's a "counter-cultural" figure aside from her saying something that offended the tiny hats?
This strikes me as yet another instance of that stupid and ineffective thing conservatives do where they jump at any opportunity to defend someone who hates them simply because they were expelled from "polite" society. When has that ever worked?
She was fired for defending conservatives and Western liberal values from the left. And people already liked her - rushing to defend scumbags because they've been rejected by society is much more the left's thing, and they've got billions of dollars of damage to prove it.
It's not defending "scumbags"; it's defending someone who wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.
It's possible that doesn't apply to this Gina Carano, but it happens enough that it's a good default assumption.
She's truthful and brave enough not to put pronouns in her twitter bio, which sounds stupid but it's a big deal, especially if you're an actor.
I'll be surprised if it gets off the ground. Between the useful idiots now activated against her, and her inexperience in directing films, it will definitely be an uphill battle.
I wish her luck though.
Cool, the last one they put out Run Hide Fight was decent. It was just published by them not made under their direction but it was an enjoyable lower budget film, with just a bit of cringe in the dialogue.
The trailer looked sick but I’m not in a space where I can confidently download some right-wing blog movie in front of my friends and family.

the daily wire logo only shows up in a couple of frames at the start, so if you are feeling industrious you can see if you can edit it out and clandestinely sneak in "this movie I heard about and sounds cool"
How did that last Kevin Sorbo movie do? The one where a rural family had to escape into the woods during extreme civil unrest?
I do not know, first time I'm hearing about it. At least you can argue that marketing sucked.
Didn't the Daily Wire already make a movie that got some fairly decent reviews?
The odds of any given movie being "good" is... low. Most movies aren't good.
But there's much better odds for it being enjoyable to watch just once. The "popcorn flick". Her name recognition right now comes from two sources: Her role in The Mandalorian, and the fact she was kicked out of Disney for being a hardass about their corporate wrongdoing (you can't just say modern propaganda is Literally Hitler when your boss MAKES that propaganda 24/7).
So she would need to capitalize on those, and make it a rebel-type action movie. Big plus if so: Action movies are easier to be enjoyable for one watch compared to dramas.
The possibility exists.
Is she supposed to direct it? I thought she was just starring and producing?
