How do we improve trust in science?

Why, more racism of course!

"It's only racism if it doesn't benefit feminism's evolutionarily inferior rapist allies"

Stop referring to """the science""" as religious gospel

Show them a raw numbers study of IQ averages crossed with race and political affiliation and they'll clamber over each other to yell about how it's bullshit that proves nothing and that you're evil for acknowledging it.

This. And, also, look at the actual data and don't just base everything off your agenda.

Actual data for my county (updated yesterday afternoon on the county govt website) as it pertains to the virus. Over the last 11 months now, there have been:

39.47 confirmed cases per 1000 residents 1.0009 deaths per 1000 residents

8.8% of the confirmed cases were among nursing home residents, 0.52% of confirmed cases were among assisted living residents, and the remaining 90.7% of confirmed cases were people living outside of those facilities.

Of the deaths, 68.75% of them were people who were living in nursing homes, 7.8% were people who lived in assisted living, and the remaining 23.4% lived outside the facilities.

So, if you're not living in a nursing home, only 2.3 people have died from the virus for every TEN THOUSAND residents over nearly a year. That's your actual data. That's your science. Try telling that to people, if you want them to actually trust you.

How do we improve trust in science?

Stop using it as rationale for telling others what to do.

Hume tells us that you cannot derive an ought from an is.

Test the vaccines on blacks and women first. Sorry, I mean "administer" or "give" because we know vaccines work and vaccines are safe. That will increase their trust, right?

To increase trust in science completely divorce it from government funding or policy otherwise fuck off because as it stands now you're asking "how do we increase trust in government?" Gulags. The answer is always gulags.

I'd argue that gulags might increase compliance to a degree, but would do very little to increase trust.

When you have groups like black people and women who have historically had worse outcomes from medicine

According to the CDC, women went from living 3 years more than men on average in 1900 to 5 years in 2016.

I’m sure it’s true that we do more studies on men. I’m also sure that if women wanted to be more involved in studies it would happen. But there is inherent risk and we see time and again women tend not to choose these jobs (and feminists don’t even care so long as it’s things like garbage collection).
