With Trump off the board now, barring some insane last minute victory, it looks like we face a President Harris timeline.
I shouldn't need to explain why that's the worst possible outcome, but I will anyway. She will use the power and resources of the United States to push the "future is female" agenda worldwide and crush their opponents both domestic and foreign.
Do we just lie low and hope to blend in? There's nowhere to go and nothing to stand behind.
Now we build the movement to call the Washington swamp illegitimate, and form a new government away from it.
Good luck with that. You'll be crushed faster than a little boy's hopes and dreams are by a female teacher.
Aye. It was always going to come to secession.
Just glad y'all are starting to realize it.
Oh great, then we'll get stuck with Texas and Idaho, just as both states tip blue, then we'll have to secede from them too. Or does Idaho secede from Boise then, and Texas from Austin? Why not just an infinite regress of secessions?
It's almost as if large nations don't work, and tiny decentralised nations with very local forms of government are by far the best option.
But but diversity is our strength
That's what America is supposed to be. The federal government was never supposed to have this much power, but power once gained is rarely given up.
Yep, I know. All of this could have been avoided if it remained as it used to be. Am I a conservative now? Lol.
More like an originalist.
Problem is that nobody wants to take any responsibility for themselves anymore and that's pretty integral to having a decentralized government
How does that work? It's clear the Capitol lacks the political will to do it.
Well, it would look like this:
It would require having the duly elected government of a state declaring the federal government illegitimate and directing the agents and militia of that state to do the following:
After this initial burst of activity, things kinda go into a holding pattern as the rest of the country responds. It's a foregone conclusion that the first state to secede will see both flight out and flight in as people pick which side of the line they want to be on.
The question is, what does DC do?
This time, I do not think a military resolution will occur.
You see, in a civil conflict when the military is directed to respond, it is on the individual members of it to decide where their loyalties are.
I suspect very strongly that the military, being 2/3rds republican and overwhelmingly pro-MAGA, will quit en-masse and be among those who move.
There will not be enough people left in the US with the experience and will to fight for DC to make a military response, so instead we'll get a standoff and de facto secession which is eventually made de jure.
Is there any state likely to actually do this? Even the most red states tend to have blue capitals and centers of power.
Well that's the million dollar question there isn't it.
I don't have an answer for ya.
Didn't Texas already consider the secession issue when SCOTUS rejected their suit?
Not hard enough.
Probably, but we shall see.
People think that the Civil War just happened. That just instantly one day we were one country and the next day we were two countries shooting each other. The forget the months that passed between secession and the war. A lot happened. Not enough people pay attention to all the things that did happen.
Civil War is probably the closer comparison in this case, but this slower than expected timelines fits with the American Revolution as well.
I see people that think the founding fathers would have already filled the ground with the bodies of traitors by now. The thing is there were years of unrest, little mini rebellions, and attempts at peaceful diplomacy before the full on war and Declaration of Independence happened. I'd probably say the Stamp Act Congress (1765) was the first formal stab at putting together a resistance, and that was a full decade before the war really took off. In today's world I'd argue we aren't even to that point yet.
So what does the road to that point look like from here?
I'm seeing an awful lot of calls for police violence from Leftbook. It seems people won't be happy until anyone who ever supported Trump is rounded up and executed.
34 states required to call it?
Impossible under current circumstances.
Most count I've come up with is about 28 likely to support it. Not sure where the other 6 would come from.
I think a legal separation might be the only way.
Separation? You want to have a China-allied neighbour on your borders? No, you can't have a "separation".
The options aren't "Have china-allied neighbor" and "have a free country."
The options are "Have another china-allied neighbor (Canada is already there)" and "Be ruled by chinese puppets."
Not sure about that. I think people could win against the enemy.
With what strategy? Who is going to start the fight, in such a way that the US military helps the good guys and not the Cathedral?
Dems can't clear the filibuster. They're not likely to railroad weapons-grade faggotry through the legislature without ten extra votes in the Senate. Instead we'll just get regular faggotry that both parties already gladly support. Maybe a new stimulus for gender and women's studies in Turkey! Hurray!
Trump is planning his next moves. He's not going away and he'll be building a coalition. If he's smart he'll dump some money into communications platforms since you can bet his ass is off Twitter for good.
Get engaged wherever you can. Know your candidates top to bottom, and yes, that includes city dog catcher. Support good candidates with money or time. Actually communicate with them. Boomers were always good about this and my generation is a total failure at engagement, likely because we were too busy holding our dicks and playing Smash Bros.
A lot of organization starts at the county level. You can reach out to your county Republican Party chairman (ahem, chairperson) and find out what the lay of the land is, what's needed, etc. Most chair...people...? I've worked with exist to support anyone who is currently in office, so if you strongly feel that elected representative needs to be primaried, avoid the party.
We're not moving to a three party system. We have two parties that are so institutionally entrenched that a viable alternative isn't allowed to exist. I hate the Republicans but they're the best we've got to work with, unfortunately.
Lastly, and most importantly, election reform is a state by state issue. I would loooove to see some right-wing thinktank draft some ideal, transparent, and secure election processes, that every state could model and institute. I've seen that happen with gerrymandering reform - though with very little adoption, it's hard to get people motivated about gerrymandering. There's a lot of anger about this election and if you live in a fucky state, ie GEORGIA, the pressure needs to be on your legislature to fix this shit.
Read books, work out, meditate, don't let the bastards demoralize you.
Provided Trump doesn’t get railroaded by the establishment powers after the 20th; I’m 50/50 on whether he’ll even be able to fight another day - whether it’s continuous lawsuits, imprisonment, or a bog-standard ‘three bullets to the head’ suicide is the real question.
I do agree with the rest of your post, though. The only true reversal of course in any capacity is for the Right to start claiming victories in the local-to-state level political machine. It’s how the Left gained its power, and it’s how the Right needs to respond.
And, yes, staying in shape, learning new skills, and consuming non-SocJus approved media is paramount to combating the demoralization they want to foster upon us.
I'm working on translating a series of less known patriotic writers and populists of the past from Italy and Greece into English, I believe their love for their country can and should inspire our current generations.
It's a little step but I'm taking it.
I'm also running for City Council in my town next year.
I gotta run in the least corrupt (but still a bit sketchy) of the parties, but I think that with friends that are running in other parties but have similar goals to mine we can literally start reshaping our societies from the ground up.
We gotta start working ourselves, and stop relying completely on a strong man to do the bulk of what needs to be done.
Good luck to you.
Thank you very much. I'll probably post here again soon as I'm done translating a few things that could be interesting. For now I'm working on the treaty of a late 19th century Italian nobleman from my town, he was basically advocating for an educated and politically active populace to curb the power of "robber barons" and "the rapacious church" back in the 1860s! Something which is honestly still super relevant today (except our rapacious church is noth just the Catholic Church, but mainly the Church of the Woke)When basically everyone else here thought that peasants weren't really people, just lesser beings.
Sounds super interesting actually. Hope you're able to share it when ready.
I honestly don't care if he runs again, and I think I'd prefer he doesn't. Best he can do now is direct money and support toward more palatable, less damaged candidates.
They will slander anyone he supports in any way.
What can they really do? It's pretty clear now that the courts won't stop politicians from doing whatever the fuck the want when it comes to elections.
Our election security (pathetic as it is) was totally compromised by unlawful changes to the voting and counting processes, and the courts did nothing to stop it from happening or to rectify the obvious fraud.
Mandate more transparency, institute higher penalties, change mail-in ballot restrictions, lobby for voter ID (even fucking Mexico has it!), mandatory audits triggered by certain odd situations; the list goes on. Laws aren't worth shit if they aren't enforced, so identify who is failing to uphold the law (Secretary of State, judges, etc) and campaign like hell to have them replaced.
This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be fixed overnight. But it will never get fixed if we don't take action.
You aren't wrong. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it's harder to fight against now that the government has complete control over the mainstream media and has the backing of Big Tech.
Higher penalties only matter if they're actually administered. You can make election fraud carry the death penalty, they'll still do it because nobody is stopping them and nobody will ever actually hold them accountable.
Really? You think nobody will be held accountable, ever? That doesn't track with history.
The Heritage Foundation actually maintains a database of election fraud, going back to at least the 70s. It's not complete, just a sampling, but there are zillions of cases of people criminally prosecuted for various means of fraud, and a great many of these cases are actually prosecuted in some of the most institutionally corrupt corners of the country (East St. Louis, Cook County, Atlanta, etc.). Lots of cases from as late as 2018. Did every criminal prosecutor in those areas suddenly die or change their minds about pursuing fraud? I expect there will be hundreds of such cases pursued this year. It'll be far too late to change the election outcome, but people will be punished.
But more importantly, mail-in balloting probably made this election the easiest to steal since 1888, an election so egregiously stolen that by 1889 huge election reforms were being implemented across the country. No, we're not done. I know it feels that way but it's simply untrue.
I think we need a more covert approach. Infiltrate the Democrat ranks. Work for them at a local, state, or federal level. Get in their good graces. Gain their trust to get close to them, document every shady thing they do and expose them (like Project Veritas has been doing with the likes of the media and Antifa but more impactful).
Just as there are wolves in sheeps clothing on the GOP side, we need the same to disrupt their agenda. It annoyed me the first 2 years of Trump's term despite having an R majority in House and Senate, the Rs didn't band together like the Ds did during Obama's term to pass the ACA. We know with Biden/Harris that Ds (+Romney and Murkowski) are going to pull the same antics.
Same as it ever was for right-leaning people in leftist areas. Lay low, blend in, hope your friends who actually know your politics don't snitch to the stasi. Been doing this my whole life, regretting the lack of opsec I've done the past 4 years now.
And realize that it will be nearly impossible to comment about current events without fedposting.
What's needed is a leader to rally behind, but in the current system one will never be allowed to rise. The boomerwaffen taking selfies in the Capitol were a show of the force that exists, but were ultimately meaningless and without purpose. After that stunt, the crackdowns will make it literally impossible for a RW leader to appear from the populace.
So prepare for at least 4 years of suffering, potentially up to 20 until there's a violent attempted revolution. Though without leaders its unlikely to succeed. But the grievances of 70+ million people will not go away, especially when they no longer have a belief that a system exists for them to have a say in their government.
Get a high score in Minecraft.
Civil disobedience is a form of criminal activism, but only the left is allowed to do it. So if you choose to engage in rightwing civil disobedience in Minecraft, you better think less like an activist and more like a criminal. Activists want glory, criminals don't want to be caught.
Obviously the bigger the target, the more unwanted attention you will get from Minecraft police, so targets big or small, choose what you personally think you can handle. Regardless do what you can to not be caught. Don't go bragging. Don't have a manifesto.
Also try not to make your side look bad, dress like a lefty if you engage in Minecraft activity. If you get caught, spout lefty platitudes.
Time for us to infiltrate them.
That would require self lobotomies to act so convincingly retarded
I'm just going to lie low right now. I've got the benefit of not living in a total leftist shithole and I've never really had any raging leftist friends for the most part because I never had anything in common with them anyway.
Last year was a wake up call for a lot of things for me. I'd fallen into a bit too much of a happy rut, with tech things, life things, etc. I was too much of a participant in places where the only outcome was to agitate myself. I'd already started to nix some of this in 2019, when I went totally scorched earth on all Reddit gaming subs. Outside life, I was way too caught up in sports (albeit I was never into NFL and NBA) and was way too happy go lucky about all my grandiose travel plans. All 2020 did was force me to evaluate how I go about those things, cut some out entirely, and be more cautious with others. I'm almost totally out of big tech dependency now (at least as much as I can). I'm pivoting a lot of entertainment away from reliance on things like services and more towards things I control. Essentially, I'm making my own happiness self-sufficient. Sure, that may all go to shit if the world falls off a cliff because it's just for fun, but I think maintaining a good mental state is important too. I've already got a decent amount of life-sustaining fallbacks in place and looking to improve. If everything ever totally goes as far as like entire shit farm hits the fan, well I will just have to fall back on grabbing my toolbox and hoping someone will trade my mechanical skills for something to eat. Get much further than that and well I'm totally screwed, but I'm pretty certain if the world gets that far all the leftists would already be dead and we're left with the much more reasonable survivors or I'd have been shot decades ago for refusing to go on the train car.
Do I think there's some sort of revolution or uprising coming? Well, maybe. I think we are years away from any such uprising that actually leads to government changes I'd like to see. If the right time comes I'm willing to take risk to defend the freedoms I want, that doesn't mean going out way too early and solo so I can be a bloodstain for the propaganda ministry to smear and then fade away. Timing is everything, and at the moment I think the time is not near. Could that change tomorrow? Sure, but I can only work with what information I have in hand now.
A couple hundred largely unarmed and unorganized people breached and occupied one of the most secure and well-defended buildings on Earth in the space of an hour. And in doing so they sent the entire US congress running for the hills.
Imagine what a few thousand armed and pissed off people could do, because I guarantee that the folks in Washington are imagining that right now.
You mean that a couple hundred largely unarmed and unorganized people were let into the Capitol under suspicious ease, including some LARPing Chief Sitting Jackass-looking motherfucker.
This was a total Reichstag Fire moment; expect it to fuel draconian crackdowns to the thunderous applause of the vapid masses, who will bitch about how those crackdowns are affecting them further down the line.
Fuck, I didn't think about this being like the Reichstag Fire. That changes perspective quite a bit looking at this like that.
A bunch of Antifa were bussed in and allowed into the capitol with ease. They allowed you guys to vent your frustrations a little because they know you'll just go home again afterwards, but now they can push for more crackdowns against the ebil Nazis. And now they've smeared Trump as some kind of warlord and anyone who follows him is dangerous. They're making an example of you and you don't even realize.
This whole antifa infiltrator narrative is pure conspiracy theory.
As for consequences - Congress was already going to punish people for the crime of supporting Trump anyway. If a couple hundred people can claim the capitol then a hundred thousand can make DC fall.
Ah so things are conspiracy theory when it turns out you guys got played. Antifa has been at every other march, why wouldn't they be at this one? Being allowed into the capitol and shown around isn't 'claiming' shit. If they were actually storming the capitol, bullets would be flying.
Well if we must go through this:
This video is from the Trump rally across town several hours earlier. People wanting access to the rally being let through.
All I see is a cop trying to back away from them and being followed. If you're reading more than that into some minute gesture at the right place then that's on you.
That video is hardly conclusive. Particularly because the allegation that counter protestors would turn up at a widely publicised rally doesn't mean they were also instructed to infiltrate the Capitol.
That's not a hammer and sickle. That's from the video game Dishonored.
Helps if you actually see the full, uncropped picture.
So yeah, until you can produce some actual evidence other than misrepresentations it is a conspiracy theory.
Yep, I'm so over hearing this antifa BS. Its rampant on the main sub here. For weeks they've all been posting about the protest on the 6th and dragging the democrats and rinos out and carrying out public hangings.
Then they switch on a dime to this new BS narrative that it was Antifa.
Put on a dress and chop off our dicks, obviously.
I've heard you don't need to chop your dick off to be a woman now.
If I just gotta wear a dress for the next 4 years, I can sacrifice a little dignity
Thankfully, if Biden/Harris push further lockdowns, you won't have to.
Buy some lube so at least the strap-on is lubricated.
You either stop voting altogether and eventually forceibly remove the swamp yourselves, or you continue voting like any of it matters and continue living your lives. I can tell you which one will happen.
And it turns out that 'protesters' were actually allowed into the buildings by police and basically given a tour. It was planned, and now any hope you guys had of unfucking your country is gone. Say ni hao to the CCP.
Lol, you think if they hadn't had their protest that the election was going to be overturned?
Pence had already stabbed them in the back long before the protesters breached the police line.
Protest or no protest, the 6th was always going to be a formality of accepting the electors votes.
