Yeah, that was hugely satisfying to have them get swept in every award category. Looks like selling out and stabbing all your fans in the back from the first game by pozzing the sequel with ESG crap in hopes the people who hated you before would suddenly love you isn't a good strategy. Now no one likes them, and they deserve it.
I wouldn't be surprised if, ten years from now, we look back at the launch of Grokipedia as an even more important accomplishment by Elon than the takeover and liberation of Twitter. Current Wikipedia is completely captured, a total communist propaganda machine that dominates search results for almost everything that isn't breaking news. Anyone searches for anything on Google or Bing or whatever and the AI blurb at the top is Wikipedia sourced, the first result or two is the Wikipedia link, and there is usually a Wikipedia snippet off to the right. The masses slobber that crap up none the wiser and assume it's true because it's an 'encyclopedia'. If Elon can get Grokipedia articles to start showing up in search results, we may just save ourselves from communist totalitarianism.
Although they've given up on exclusive games, Xbox does have some killer exclusive features, like Quick Resume, Play Anywhere, Smart Delivery, Game Pass, multi-generational backwards compatibility, etc.
Honestly, Quick Resume alone would be enough for me to rebuy a Series X if I had to do it all over again. Probably my favorite feature added to console gaming since the online gaming.
This was such a waste of taxpayer money and FTC's and Microsoft's time. Even after the acquisition, Microsoft only had like 13% of an extremely competitive market. And because of the time and money spent on fighting the FTC, EU, and UK, Microsoft is now even further behind, essentially has thrown in the towel on competing against PlayStation by going multi-platform, and now Sony basically has a monopoly on the high-end console market, leaving consumers across the globe worse off than ever.
Currently reading Confessions by St. Augustine. It's pretty impressive for a book written in 397 A.D., but it's not as great as I was hoping it would be (it's a bit more pontificating when I was hoping for more personal insights into his life and journey).
Before that I read the first three Joe Pickett novels, which I liked, in between I rotated in two Thomas Sowell non-fiction books, 1. Discrimination and Disparities, and 2. Barbarians Inside the Gates (both were excellent).
The fact that, not once, did any of the Kamala Harris accounts ever get Community Noted despite endlessly spewing out lies is proof enough that the algorithm is broken and susceptible. It's still better than any other social media site "fact checking", but it is so far from even being remotely fair.
I'm not even sure which awards show this is. DICE, I think, based on the timing. But, yeah, I have no idea why anyone watches this crap or any of the other similar crap too, like "The Game Awards" by the Doritos Pope. It's all just propaganda.
I resent being circumcised. It's male genital mutilation and it shouldn't be forced on kids. I get that that moron of a news anchor is willingly doing it as an adult, but it sounds like he was already mutilated as a child.
