MtF killing themselves more makes sense since the changes from testosterone are permanent. So a female can transition into a man relatively easily and naturally - voice and all, whereas a male can't transition into a woman easily at all. I can assure you, you would never guess that the average FtM was a FtM at all. But anyone can guess who a MtF is. And the insane left refuses to acknowledge that it's not equal and that they can't just use the same things.
While I agree with most of what you're saying for a mentally healthy person, your "alternative" is equivalent of telling a heavily depressed person to just be happy. Both of my trans friends (both FtM) acknowledge that dysphoria is a serious illness, so it's not like they agree with the insane pro-trans establishment that refuses to acknowledge it as an illness. Transition essentially helps a trans person go from a severely mentally ill person to a relatively stable person who can function in society - something I've seen first hand (which I would have called anecdotal in the past, but science is compromised so anecdotal evidence is all we have).

There's another character that is actually directly trans in WoW - a woman who died, went to the afterlife (this expansion is the expansion that happens in the afterlife), and chose a male body instead of a female one (it's weird, characters basically change into new species when they die, WoW is odd).

Also, Chromie always had a male dragon name and a female gnome form. This is not new or particularly forced. If any character in the game makes sense to "reveal" as trans (and even that is done subtly and respectfully), it would be Chromie.

Also, you guys often say "it's a world with magic, if they're trans, why don't they just change their body?" - and they literally did that, which makes perfect sense. When you intentionally go into options where you choose to learn about the characters with no reward or benefit, the character just tells you "I chose a male body when I died and went into the afterlife".

Especially since it fits into the setting of 1937 Europe - that makes me not even consider it wokeness at that point. -Two of the male characters in the main character's memories are revealed to secretly have feelings for each other. It's a relatively throw-away line. One of those characters is found. He's being tortured by a creature, and he screams prayers and confessions and talks about how "god hates us and wants us to burn" - which could be taken as a reference to him being gay.
-There's a monster that used to be a South African member of the main character's expedition. When he goes into a blood frenzy and attacks her, he starts screaming about how her child is a half-breed and insults her lover (a French Arab, she met him on expeditions to Africa so it checks out). Basically, a fucking racist Amnesia monster. It's pretty funny and entirely fits into the setting too.
All in all, on a wokeness meter, I would rate it 1/10 - not quite 0/10, there's things one could interpret as wokeness, but I think it would be a bit of a mistake to do it, especially considering how competent the game is.
