Lol that reminds me of what my high school guidance counselor said about fights in school. Fights between boys are usually over in 5 seconds when the winner knocks the loser out. Fights between girls last long enough to have to be broken up and it's really nasty for whoever intervenes because they're trying to gouge each others' eyes out, and they'll happily to try to do that to whoever tries to break up the fight as well.
Guys fighting is a performance piece for the most part. They're playing to the crowd to show dominance. As soon as someone gets between them it is over and all about the peacocking "yeah you're lucky I'm being held back."
Girls fighting is a literal fight to the death and they don't care about anything that gets between them because they want to commit murder and will fight anyone that gets in their way.

While the teacher didn't use a gun (I guess?) you don't want to hear that these things can be resolved by teachers, especially by jacking up that likelihood and arming them maybe? You want people scared and the only way to deal with it is more laws and control. And of course, they want the shooter to be a white guy.
