I'm old enough to have lived through the satanic panic. It was mostly a bullshit witch hunt. Pedos exist, bad parents exist... there is not a large underbelly of hidden ritualistic sex/blood cults in suburban America.

During this time my bother-in-law was taken away from his family because the school took him a slightly odd ADD kid locked him a room away from his Adderall and over the course of the school day convinced him to say his father was abusing him (his family got him back quickly, but It's scary what society can do very quickly when it stops thinking rationally)

A lot of the "evidence" for prosecutions that came out of this panic, were coerced testimonies from pre-teens against their parents. I don't know how many of you have tried to elicit testimony from a small child even about something as simple as who ate the candy, but they are crazy unreliable, even when they aren't guilty.

This is the same moral panic that tried to ban video games and D&D, which have no causal link to violence and/or suicide. Many of my friends could not play D&D because their parents were stupid.

The goal is avoid these witch hunts with all your being whether it's about racism in America, or sex cults in the churches, or even communist supporters in Hollywood [which was probably true, but didn't need the McCarthy response].

Possibly, but internet rando's are creepy, and Hollywood sycophants even more so. Given that I wouldn't immediately discount the story.

I doubt she's talking about in the acting roles, these child stars receive "fan" letters from some undoubtedly unhinged people. These young actors should absolutely have someone screening their letters.

People are dumb and assholes exist on the internet.... this should not be a surprise to anyone.

I really hate to agree with these wierdo's, but I've always found this to be creepy behavior, and it's very common. It is strange way to sexualize kids at a very young age.

I'm in Gov IT and that's not the message we're getting. The feds keep saying we have lots of resources to help, but you need to ask, we aren't going to do your job for you.

Socially Isolated and shunned young men are a danger to themselves and others? Oh No who could have known.

This appears to be from the interview where page defends Jussie quite vehemently. Jussie just got sentenced. Meaning the law just declared Jussie a liar, and Page was therefore officially duped (or played like a fiddle?) into defending Jussie.

Many people forget part of the Cuban Missile Crisis concerned US missiles stationed in Turkey and Italy, before Russia decided to put missiles in Cuba. I'd really like to not go back to the cold war.

If he listens to Vaush and Hasan and thinks they make any sense what so ever I don't really know what you can do. I can't listen to Hasan for more than 2 minutes before realizing this man doesn't have two brain cells to rub together.

Get him to watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar08OXUam-o where Destiny and Actual Justice Warrior (Sean) basically agree for an hour and hope that AJW can lead him back to sanity.

That was my thought, one is at the end of the bundle run the other is at the beginning. I sense that numbers will still be skewed, but at least it will be a fair comparison.

I have a short (4 letters) very phonetic name, I get cold calls EVERYDAY from Asian sales people who cannot say my name. I have never in my life had a native speaker fail on my name. I'm unable to give any fucks about mispronunciation.

The article mentions several times the refusal to take hormones to stay on the swim team. So no testosterone I guess? Just body modifications. Made the whole article hard to read.

Perfect Social distancing should absolutly reduce flu cases, unless you are arguing 100% of flu spread is from surfaces, or perhaps you dont believe in germ theory at all?

Okay so he made a point to reboot the franchise, which means the original movies aren't cannon to his movie nor his movie cannon to the originals... It almost makes zero sense to include it... . regardless of how well it did. Then if you take Feig's very public and antagonistic fights with the fans of the original..... WTF is this guy smoking?!?

I like the part where she, without any introspection to her current situation, defends the mocking bird character from aggressively defending her private space, while continuing to seethe over being not feeling welcome in this "right wing" mothers' private space.

Eskimo is out of favor for the same reason oriental is. It is a generally non-descript blanket term for a huge range of people that generally don't care much for each other. It is not a term that any of them would use to describe themselves.
The other (real) reason is for the authoritative left to attempt to seize control of language; or at least destabilize rival groups use of it.

I'm pretty upset at wikipedia, as Quinn identifies as non-gender and therefore not a woman. I expected so much more than this casual transphobia from them.

Yes I really do. I do not think there were many things Chauvin could have done to keep George Floyd out of the ground, but there are many things Chauvin could have done to keep himself out of jail. Those are the same things that would have helped relax the strain on a society already coming apart.

I can see you're being down voted to hell. But Exactally this. Normies are stupid as fuck and when they see a smug asshole cop slowly killing a black man in front of a bunch of people without a moment of consideration for the man, they now believe this happens all the time. Floyd gave BLM a rallying cry to destory society and chauvin is reposible for that in a much more serious way than he is responsible for killing George Floyd.

Having been to court I will tell you that the if you can't afford an attorney part of that statement is dead serious. As a couch surfing college student I had a car and 3k for tuition. They were like nope you can afford it. Knowing I would get crushed without one I spent all my tuition money to fight what was essentially a clerical error.

I feel this is malicious, but I don't understand the point of why. The video doesn't show anything we don't have better videos of. This doesn't seem to be hiding any evidence so why?
