results in the burden of guilt falling on the collective shoulders of every man in society.

Many men refuse to accept this truth.

The only good news is that while almost all Christian denominations in the US have been declining, the UCC is in fucking freefall since they have pretty much excluded and ostracized anyone who believes in Christ.

The liberal mainstream churches are declining. The conservative ones are about the same.

It’s good to be optimistic. People can change and become greater than they were before, even if it is rare.

In my experience, people tell you who they are quickly and often. It’s best to listen and take them at face value.

Testosterone is not just about muscle development. For men it affects bone density as well. Castration or low T will lead to brittle bones.

Christians celebrating Christmas is almost the same, but since it has done so many times that it became part of being a Christian.

The difference being that Christians believe in God. The pagan celebration was incorporated in order to include people in the faith. An atheist or secular Jew celebrating religious holidays is weird because they don't have spiritual beliefs at all.

Yeah as another poster said, it's like atheists and Christmas. You want all the benefits without actually having to believe or be moral. That makes perfect sense to me.

If it's like, "my family lineage is from Israel" or something like that I understand it, but if it's "cultural", does that mean she still celebrates Jewish religious holidays?

Atheists celebrating Christmas is a great example, almost identical. I find that equally strange. It's appropriating a Christian holiday because your culture is Christian, but then rejecting what it's really about and sticking to shallow gift giving during winter.

Maybe secular Judaism is the same hollowing out of their religious traditions.

Interesting read. What stands out to me is that she says Judaism is very important to her emotionally, but also that she does not believe in God, nor does she consider herself religious. What?

I’d like to see someone define or explain secular Judaism. What the fuck is it?

So isolated they didn't use Yiddish as their primary language?

I said they didn’t bother to learn the language of the locals in Poland. That would be Polish, not Yiddish.

And yes, they did interbreed, because most Jewish scripture was written in the fucking Bronze Age, and they thought one of the sexes (can't remember which one, think it was females) couldn't pass along their "blood".

I can only speak on their history in Poland, which as you should know, is substantial. There it would have been quite rare if it happened at all, as they were isolated and both communities distrusted the other.

It works out in the end. They call you back as a contractor to fix the mistakes the Indians made.

Excellent post and analogy. That is how things will be when I am married, as God intended.

They didn’t interbreed. They looked down upon most of the whites and isolated themselves in their own communities. In Poland, they had such disdain for the locals that they did not even bother to learn their language, preferring English or German instead.

Women have definitely been given far too much freedom and responsibility. More than they can handle.

When I heard that women were not allowed to get credit cards without their husband’s signature I thought, “Wow, what a brilliant idea!”.

So many women just accumulate debt and expect a man to cover the way a child behaves with a father.

Wrong. In Poland the ruling party suggested they would take in immigrants. They were voted out and it didn't happen. If people really cared about it then it wouldn't occur.

True. The trouble with their line is that all you have to do is wait X weeks and it's no longer valid. It's not rational.

Article should be corrected to say "Western Europe". Much of Europe has no interest in this.
