If trump wins, I'm betting on the forbidden card being played: aliens.

There's a bunch of angles they could do with aliens. Aliens invading, we need globalism NOW! Aliens are among us, scientists confirm all Trump voters to be pod people, kill your father today! Aliens visited us long ago but american agencies put a gag order on the information, wtf you hate America! We have made contact with aliens and they are all gay nubian queens (optional addition: and they are coming to enslave all wh*tes as part of their cosmic reparations program)!

The Leftist Commie Furs are effectively being managed as Social Media weapons and are an extension of what I expect to be significant emotional and psychological abuse.

Well, now I've gotta ask for more details. I've been keeping track of a few large chunks of furries, but my impression was that they're surprisingly being left out of the woke movement despite seemingly being perfect for it. My major blindspot is social media, so what are you seeing in that space?

My most recent theory was that you can't follow two cults at once, so anyone that's a true furry couldn't be successfully integrated as an sjw. And on the flipside, any furry that isn't a true furry follower is resistant to both cults due to exposure to one. (I'm reluctant to label furries as a cult, but there certainly exists a cultish chunk of them)

I'm aware that they naturally create hugboxes for their communities and end up banning even constructive criticism. In my view, this stems from their role of taking in all the dumb and disgusting and otherwise ostracized persons they could catch - they should all, at their core, understand the feeling of being an outcast, but they hyperfocus on avoiding that feeling so much that they ostracize anyone that generates discomfort for them. This creates a loop that leads to members having their personal growth neutered by lack of external challenge, while encouraging behaviors that would ensure they'll never fit in to normal society.

Unfortunately, if my math is correct, this does mean that you might get more furries. God damnit Japan! Why are you making more furries! It's because of the two nuclear bombs, isn't it? Damn.

We bullied the nerd too hard and it evolved into a giga nerd.

I'm not sure they understand how cringy western furries are. From what little I've seen, it seems like their furries are pretty tame. I think it stems from them having potentially stranger acts of dress-up in the streets on one side, and then on the other they don't seem to have as much of an epidemic of "fuck you, dad" value systems in the populace (which I think is a major counter-cultural accelerant in the west).

I'll jump in here too - I know you're not asking for recommendations, but it's hard not to hand them out sometimes.

If you need english dubbing, you may as well quit while you're ahead, dubs are 99% terrible because of anti-merit hiring practices here. If you don't want to adjust to the japanese culture stuff, there's hope because maybe 20% of anime bypasses it with setting. If tropes particular to anime bug you, it's still possible but a lot harder, maybe 5% of anime.

Shin Sekai Yori could work - I recommend it to people tired of 'normal' anime. Source material is a novel, rather than manga, so it's not a "fun" story. Has excellent world building based on the author's knowledge of social psychology. Fantasy tilt of psychic powers being common and extremely powerful (this is not a shounen, don't expect power battles).

It fucking annoys me so badly when I see these people make 1-2k a month doing fuck all.

Don't ever work as a line cook, then. Bunch of teenage girls out front will earn your paycheck every busy night because they wear yoga pants. They -will- ask you for free food after this, too.

planning ahead in battle while keeping to a fast beat

I'm not sure it's possible to do this in a normal fashion for that game. I played the demo of it, it's a cool game, but I think its biggest flaw is pushing memorization. There's no practice mode in the demo, so I just had to guess and check and die lots and lots to learn how every enemy moves. Then that memorization goes out the window when combining some enemy types, so you lose hard and then pray for a second chance to simply learn.

Just wasn't worthwhile to me, but I hate roguelikes anyway. The rhythm aspect is probably considered a difficulty increaser because it forces you to make inefficient moves.

An interesting development, but I can't really dip into the site. Seems to be one of those social media places. I'm too old for this, where's my web1.0 interface.

Seriously, it's neat seeing an alternative to twitter trying to pick up where other sites seem to fail, but I wonder about the endgame there. Can they turn into a place with porn artists that bring in crowds? Would they be happy doing so long term?

Including a tip button on the posts is bad news to me. A lot of negative schemes can stem from that design.

Anything you can think of can be done a thousand times better, safer, and less addictively with synthesized drugs.

Sure, I'll agree. Synthetic drugs can get pretty wild.

That "soothing" feeling you get from tobacco is just the cravings from chemical addiction going away.

I disagree. You have a tremendously steep hill to climb here and your argument is founded on my ignorance. If I'm not as ignorant as you reckon, it doesn't hold up. I think I have a strong advantage by having more information about my own body, habits, and psychological inclination.

A nice shotgun theory, but you didn't catch me in the 99.9% there.

I import mine. Clove cigarettes, great 20 minute painkiller, increased potency if you reduce oxygen intake. When my family visits and wants a smoke break, I tell them they have to smoke the good stuff.

I heard of russian cigarettes exactly once, years ago. Was told the smoke smelled like lucky charms. Regardless of the seemingly tall tale, I'd be excited to one from there. Hard enough to get a shipment from India; I wouldn't know how to get it from Russia.

Tobacco is a poison and serves no beneficiary purpose.

Is it not enough to know that even poison can be medicinal with careful application?

I was able to avoid needing cocaine or risking heart palpitations with energy drink overdosing by carefully combining nicotine and caffeine. It simulated sleep if I got the dose perfect, and soothed my nerves a bit otherwise. Not that I recommend this, of course - under normal circumstances, you should just sleep. Sometimes life doesn't work out that kindly.

Most cigarettes do smell like shit, though, I'll give you that.

I don't know what kind of volume there is for the resources. Smaller amount would probably work best in sidebar. Bigger amount would work best in a wiki..but should still be linked in sidebar.

Anyway, I want to request the rules (or at least a link to them) get put in the sidebar. It'd make it less annoying to look them up when trying to decipher your reason for removing comments.

I have some ideas, but I don't want to push the community because doing that tends to drop people off

While I appreciate you being aware of this, I think we could use some more open brainstorming, and that you should treat a thread presenting such ideas as a call to discussion rather than an edict from a mod.

"Be the change you want to see" and all that, but my specialties keep me busy enough seeking out the demoralized to try and ease them out of despair. Of course, I'd like to see some productivity - I'm just aware that I'm not gonna be one of the guys to kick things off here.

I blame jewish culture for a lot of problems. I can't give a clear and rigid definition for it, nor could I for any other culture. I have yet to git that gud. If I were to try defining it, I'd have to go over stereotypes and their values, which I don't think most people would receive that kind of argument well. I feel comfortable using it because I don't use it like a magic wand to explain problems, as OP seems to be indulging in.

But, yeah, it is kinda like the feminism thing. They've used the cultural angle as well, even if I don't think it holds water. People like using labels and putting everything in boxes. The bigger the box, the less useful it is for organizing (like blaming a gender) - yet a small box isn't necessarily useful unless you want to exhaust yourself playing hardcore individualist mode.

Labels like jew are also difficult because it's hard to tell if it's meant as race or religion or culture. Rather, it's hard to tell if the label is meant for people that chose to take the label (by adhering to a dogma or behaving by a certain set of standards), or people that had no choice in receiving the label (by being born).

The threat of it actually being permitted to fail should be fairly strong as a persuader.

Like..well, this is a small scale example, but consider a town's police department. Only the citizens of that town should be funding it. If there's suddenly no funding for it, that can only really mean a few things. If everyone chose to not fund it, let them reap the consequences of no police. That town might burn down, or it could thrive, it depends on the citizens and how well they adjust to having to uphold the law on their own.

If the town burns down (literally or figuratively), it will affect import/export at the least. This causes trouble for outside groups who may have enough incentive to step in and put out the fire. Or, who knows, maybe the town gets quarantined so no one has to deal with them anymore.

It's kind of like legalizing suicide. You couldn't charge anyone in the first place, but there's a fear that everyone might commit suicide if you say it's okay. To me, ancap is like that, where you just bite the bullet and let populations destroy themselves if they choose to, while hoping that instead you end up with a more happy and productive set of remaining populations.

I've played this game for 7 years now

Oof, I'm sorry to hear that. You missed the golden era. If you have a computer with an old enough OS, get a copy of the single good mtg videogame, Shandalar.

I started mtg around 4th edition. We had physical rulebooks back then - boy, those were a chore to get through as a kid. My friends all made up BS rule interpretations so it took us years to even learn to play properly.

I think Weatherlight was the death knell for the game. That's when they started their new narrative focus. And don't get me wrong, the game had loads of story told before that in the flavor text, but the narrative style got all jacked up and definitively linear, whereas it was disjointed so you could learn about the world and characters from seperated excerpts and events and cultural clues. Though maybe they went back in that direction some? I haven't paid serious attention for over 10 years. Ice Age was the absolute pinnacle of the game's strategic depth.

I spent years trying to fix the game. EDH is a great joke. Here, take my better fix for free: strict 60 card count for deck size, only the 5 primary basic land types permitted for land, no more than 1 copy of a spell (that includes all the spells that were made to bypass the 4 copy limit by having same cost/effect with only a different name). That's it. 'Course, I wasn't a tourney judge and had no clique or sway over "the scene", so everyone jumps into a bloated ruleset for their fix now.

WotC has been doing poorly for some time. You'd have to hit up a /tg/ (not 4chan) board for the details, it's more than I could memorize.

cognitive behavioral therapy

I've had this tried on me multiple times and I think it's bullshit. It all amounts to lying to yourself strongly enough and regularly enough to convince yourself of the lie. I refuse to even try it anymore.

I recommend the normal type of therapy where you just talk about whatever's on your mind and the therapist probes you for underlying meaning. Sure, you can end up with a therapist that leans on that Freud nonsense, but as long as they do their part well, it can be worth tolerating. A cleverly placed/timed "Why?" can do wonders.

It sounds like you could do with some help and support because the people close to you are positioned to shut you down when it suits them. I hope you can find it somewhere.

That tradition stays strong over on voat, but I find it hard to recommend because the quality of discourse is so low there.

Different tone, different connection between the two sentences. Can lead to character change if permitted throughout the work.

I'm glad you care enough to try to give it some depth. Some groups really desire the depth, but futa fans are alien to me so I couldn't say.

As long as you have a passion for your project throughout its creation, parts of you should show up in it, including some redpill beliefs.

Yes. I believe we're still at a minimal state because no one has volunteered to work the CSS. There's a lot of changes I'd like to see, but I learned web design during web1.0 so using scripting for a website is nonsense to me.

Hah, yes, but now I have to wonder how much of a porn it is, which can either be a problem or guaranteed sales.

evilmathmagician -1 points ago +2 / -3

No. If you liked season 1, you'll like season 2 - and that is very rare.

Remember the show is based off of a cringey comic book. Stormfront was just a nazi guy with a bad haircut, now Stormfront is a superpowered dangerhair.

If you're identifying with any character in this show, it's probably not for you.

Whoa, hold up, she's a furry? I have some close furry bros and I've been watching over the border between furry and sjw for some time. It's been amazing that sjw hasn't completely absorbed furries because of their extreme victim status. My personal theory so far is that people can't dedicate themselves to two cults at once, so anyone that's a die-hard-cringe furry is immune to other cults like social justice (and similarly, the handful of furries that feel revulsion at furry cult are more likely to feel the same about other cults).

Try to explain to her exactly how minority bipedal dogs (or catgirls, whatever) are. They're so minority they don't exist in reality. Humans are all over and common. And - get this, even in a furry setting you can make every race have only one representative; you can only show so many characters in a story, and that number is far smaller than the number of distinct real life animal species to anthropomorphize. Also drawing in a homogenized style like animal crossing diminishes diversity so she's gonna have to git gud if she wants to be less racist.

An isekai, huh. Give it some value for people that are over-exposed to the genre.

The overall point here is not to prevent corruption, or even police it. But to use selfishness as a weapon to re-enforce meritocratic institutions.

I was having a hard time understanding til this part. I'll be thinking about it for a while in the back of my mind, thanks. I basically started slipping into a stance of pushing negative reinforcement when I know only positive reinforcement works.

The purpose of corruption is to make bypassing a strict regulation easier.

I hadn't thought of it like this.

Well paid soldiers, like cops, are corrupt.

Also I assume you meant underpaid instead of well paid here.
