I don't really watch their shit, but mostly because none of the content or storylines or characters really interest me at all. I enjoyed watching the entire Dragon Ball saga from its proper beginning a few years ago, fwiw*, and I tried to get into Hellsing; it's OK, but vampires just don't groove me. So I don't have any real dog in this fight, beyond knowing that they're coming after the stuff I like next, for sure. And what I like, has nothing to do with anything at all sexual, and in fact, I can't stand love stories or waste-of-time sex scenes to begin with.
(*I preferred it when it was simple chop-sockey, before it went all-out Wizard War stuff, and I couldn't suffer through more than a few episodes of that american saturday-morning Ghetto Trash version.)
I'll jump in here too - I know you're not asking for recommendations, but it's hard not to hand them out sometimes.
If you need english dubbing, you may as well quit while you're ahead, dubs are 99% terrible because of anti-merit hiring practices here. If you don't want to adjust to the japanese culture stuff, there's hope because maybe 20% of anime bypasses it with setting. If tropes particular to anime bug you, it's still possible but a lot harder, maybe 5% of anime.
Shin Sekai Yori could work - I recommend it to people tired of 'normal' anime. Source material is a novel, rather than manga, so it's not a "fun" story. Has excellent world building based on the author's knowledge of social psychology. Fantasy tilt of psychic powers being common and extremely powerful (this is not a shounen, don't expect power battles).
Maybe the real reason is racism against Japanese?
