Oh, I see. Sorry, I missed that bit. Yeah...

I guess she can claim to be "smort" enough to have made her own decisions at that point, then, yes.

Clearly not mature enough to think of the consequences though, lol.

I think it may also be because, when you’re depressed, you tend to both focus on the negatives, and have less going on in your life, so focus on “the small stuff” like pain, aches, etc., more…

But in general, yeah, I would 100% back this up, from my own anecdotal experience, even based on my weirdly mixed life experiences in the last six months or so (really bad situation, then good, to kind of bad again)…

When I was in the “good” place, in general I felt much better, and coped better with my chronic illness, than I did either before or after that period. Unfortunately…

Which I guess just means I have to work harder to get back to “the good place”, like it sounds like you have done, too.

This is fairly directly inferred in Interstellar, as well, with TARS and whatever the other robot was called.

Like, he directly threatens TARS with that at least once, so, yeah, it's definitely a trope...

Can sort of argue that Star Trek did this with Data, on occasion, too...

The NY Post article on this: https://archive.is/ZKuTp

But now that she’s enhanced her face, Mia Dio says her face doesn’t move — and she doesn’t even recognize herself anymore.

Also this one, which is so much worse (demon girl): https://archive.is/SjMmr

This world is evil and sick. Fuck...

I need a drink, after seeing that second one. Disgusting...

Plastic surgeons who do this shit (and what they did to Erin Moriarty, Anya Taylor-Joy, Lauren Sanchez, etc.) should be lined up against the fucking wall, when the time comes...

I note that she "uglified" herself for the before photo there (she really wasn't that ugly, at 14!!), and that she was already a "Youtuber/content creator" at that point, so no wonder she ended up with fucking body dysmorphia...

Sad. Just sad. Even has the self-awareness to admit to it, but still can't stop, or admit that she was wrong. Eugh...

There also seems to be a vague distinction between, say, C-3PO and R2, who are both always referred to as male, and then the Trade Federation droids like this one, who seem to mostly, but not always, lack sentience, and are fairly wholly reliant on an external "brain", if you will, a la The Phantom Menace, or indeed the Omega in Edge of Tomorrow. So... Yeah.

Apparently the internet (or at least the normie parts of it) has been scrubbed of the “unrated” cut of the video, after Ratajkowski accused Thicke of groping her a while back, so…

Enjoy those memories, I guess!

Sadly she might be sexy, but she’s still just as entitled and bitchy as any of them, lol…

That sentiment is getting extremely close to the Hollywood blacklist of the 1950s-60s (Dalton Trumbo, who made Spartacus, et al), except that this time it’s not commies on the list, but sort of… “Anti commies”, I guess…

Bizarro world.

On Cronulla, the other, more recent, and much more famous/well-known "riot" that happened in 2005, in this country:

https://archive.is/Mca1Y

There's some issues with the archive of that piece, but in short, Labor probably lied about what happened, as did the media.

If only there had been more resistance to the gradual Islamification of this country, like shown that weekend, then we might not be where we are now. But of course the globalists couldn't allow that, now could they?

bamboozler1 12 points ago +12 / -0

Here is the wiki page for what happened:

https://archive.is/BGB3B

It's been carefully rewritten to present the modern woke leftist version of the story, which, unfortunately, is also spouted by some of the people in that video (particularly the woman "historian" who may not have even been there, lol), but yeah, basically, the degenerates got banned, and took the licensee to court, so the brewery that owned the pub shut the place down with a week's notice, and then sent the cops in to smash it up...

Fuck the degenerates, and fuck the pigs. They can shift the blame all they want, but this was their fault, at least partly.

Reverse Stonewall, if you will.

Never, ever come between an Aussie and our booze (specifically beer), lol. That is almost the one occasion where we might actually get amped up enough to do shit like this (also our women, as shown by Cronulla, tbh)...

Belgium is not a real country, and only exists for explicitly political reasons.

There, I said it. Come for me, next, Federale Politie.

2
bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, I genuinely don't see the point in releasing this. Like, if you're going to redact every. single. word, then why not just... Not release it..? Are they being forced to release something, even if blank..? I just don't understand the logic here, personally...

6
bamboozler1 6 points ago +6 / -0

Legal liability (and the avoidance thereof), I would imagine. But "releasing" it in this way just makes it all the funnier, IMHO. Because it's entirely pointless, lol.

2
bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I would say the easiest way to explain it is "Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders 'sustainably' used these resources, until whitey came along and fucked it up"

So effectively yes.

We get a lot of "Indigenous knowledge about fauna", and similar shit. And the "Indigenous calendars" re plants and the like are always fun.

But yeah, noble savage but woke, essentially. I think I've been told what great "land managers" they were (which is patently untrue, lol. They destroyed the landscape with fire extremely effectively. Not to mention how many species they drove extinct themselves) at least two dozen times, by now. And we're constantly reminded that we are "on stolen land".

It's all rather tiresome.

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Also, having lived through all that, there's no way it was worth any of it - from being told that we couldn't even leave the country (nevermind getting back in), to people not being able to go to work across state borders (we have cities and towns that straddle them), to people who I know not being able to attend family funerals, to me not getting to see my grandfather in the nursing home before he died (as an unvaxxed plague rat, you see) - it was an evil, truly morally repugnant time, and all for a virus that spread like wildfire anyway, and yet had a mortality rate about as bad as the flu.

None of it was worth it. At all. And that includes their eventual, much-delayed "solution" to the borders.

And i say that as an "immunocompromised" person. I was shamed and almost physically attacked by extended family for my "vaccine stance", and I will never forgive them for that, let alone the grandfather thing. Never...

So yeah, I wouldn't be defending any of the actions that "our" government took, at this point.

/endrant

bamboozler1 3 points ago +3 / -0

It wasn't the lockdowns that did what you said - it was closing the borders. The lockdowns came after they fucked up.

It's very important to get that right, as pointed out in other comments.

The two things are very much not the same.

Source: I live(d) here, on an island, and I saw it fucking happen, lol.

Cell biology, yes, but I work in the marine, botanical and zoological (animal) spaces, so it's not too difficult for them to still shove it down our throats, while incorporating it into "official" dogma/curriculum...

Re comp sci, yeah, you're not wrong, although my GIS classes still managed to bring in quite a lot of woke environmental/post-colonial shit, at least partly because the teacher and department head was a Cape Malay South African immigrant with a massive chip on her shoulder, lol...

South African first-gen immigrants are... "Fun", to say the least. As I'm sure you're well aware.

Nah, actually euthanized (i.e. by the state), it seems. Just that she and her family condoned/agreed to it...

It's in the Wiki article I linked.

Very sad. If someone that successful and "put together" can do this, and have doctors, her family and the state sign off on it, partly because she was "depressed after losing her mother", we really are further down the slippery slope than some of us perhaps realized...

11
bamboozler1 11 points ago +11 / -0

To be deeply cynical about this - depressed people, myself included, tend to be less “productive” than others. Thus, we don’t “contribute” as much to the current deeply rotten society, and I guess we also don’t consoom as much. At my most depressed, I kind of just “existed” for a while, and society really doesn’t like that…

So I suppose by killing off the depressed and otherwise mentally ill, it makes more room for those who don’t question things, and who just go about their lives, plodding along in their “careers” and making money for corporate..?

But honestly I’m not sure. There are definitely plenty of people who see the depressed (again, myself included) as a “burden” on society, so… I suppose state-sanctioned voluntary euthanasia plays into that.

Futurama took this to its ultimate end with the suicide booths, and Bender, in an early episode.

Honestly, it’s kind of crazy to think that we’re probably closer to that then we will ever be to something like… Space elevators, or whatever.

3
bamboozler1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Crazy, innit? I’m a biologist and even I have classes like that. Which is absurd, but they’re determined to force it into everything

Except my pure maths courses, which, at least when I took them, remained relatively un-pozzed. But yeah, anything less “hard” than that seems to be completely infused with ideology at this point, unfortunately…

This is in Qld, too, so… Yeah.

On the dating thing - this seems to largely be an Anglosphere problem…

In Sweden I met and dated a registrar (junior doctor, basically) from France - a relationship which, albeit short, we then continued by both taking it back to France for a while.

Meanwhile in Australia, I was dumped by a fucking hospital orderly, in much shorter order, basically because I couldn’t afford the lifestyle “she deserves”…

Registrar was a pretty normal, down-to-earth chick. Hospital orderly acts like she is an “influencer”.

I just find that funny, tbh.

Western women… 🙄

bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Here's her Wiki page: https://archive.is/TR7Dk

Not a huge fan of this practice, tbh. But it's very "current year, Protestant/secular Europe", I must say...

I think Switzerland even does this for foreigners with depression and other mental illnesses, if you pay them enough, and can convince a couple of doctors to sign off on it. So yeah...

6
bamboozler1 6 points ago +6 / -0

Of course, all of these women think that they are uniquely "talented", like the (much younger than me) girl I know who quit her (weirdly successful, for shitty "feminist rock") local band to go work as a fucking medical researcher in the UK.

Is it "impressive" that she managed to hold down your band, while being a med student? Sure, but she most definitely didn't fucking do that on her own, nor was "talent" much of a factor in any of it...

Unfortunately this goes for probably 80% of the women I know, under 30, but probably only 20% of the men.

Something is off about that...
