One of his victims was a billionaire’s daughter (they’re refusing to show her face now, on some of the media, as of last night. Which… They aren’t doing for the other victims. So that’s odd), who happened to be engaged to one of the coppers who ended up being sent to the scene…

Which is a) very bizarre, as coincidences go, and b) means that the media is flogging this even more than they might otherwise…

The mother who died was also the daughter of a prominent AFL footballer, and was also personal mates with some other media personalities… And her partner is friends with the South Australian premier.

All of which is a bit surreal, but I guess it is Bondi Junction, which is almost certainly one of the wealthiest areas in the whole country…

Consequently, expect than to milk this for all that it is worth, basically for eternity…

Especially if the baby dies, eventually, as well. If that happens… People like my parents will go fucking apeshit. That’s the main thing normies seem to be obsessing about at the moment…

I mean, this one was homeless, and had been for some time

I don’t think he was playing many vidya games, lol.

It’s also a Westfield shopping centre (mostly clothes, homewares, cosmetics, “boutiques”, et al). In an area with almost certainly a proportionally higher number of young, single women than many other places (Bondi itself is literally one of the heaviest-touristed areas in the entire world).

I would almost guarantee that if they measured the sample population in there at the time, it would be heavily skewed towards women. Like probably 70/30, at least.

At a guess, anyway.

But what do I know. I hate Westfield malls…

I mean, there’s also a “Law and Order” (politics, not the tv show) aspect to that, in that we are a nanny state (and arguably becoming a police state) where “vigilante justice” is almost always met with outsize force by the state, and where the media almost always praises “our men and women in uniform”…

Except when they come up against Abos, of course, or turn out to be “conservatives”, or indeed when they are veterans/retire from the force…

It’s exactly the same dynamic as anywhere else in the Anglosphere.

“Cope good” except when they’re not.

I don’t think her gender is all that relevant here, tbh…

But I will agree that the media narrative is determined to make it seem somehow relevant.

Lol, the Jews (big Jewish area) keep comparing this to Tel Aviv, and are now trying to have people charged, under “public mischief” laws, for daring to suggest that the perp was Jewish…

Evil shits have to make it all about themselves, of course.

“Joel Couchey”, from Queensland, they’re claiming. Also claiming “mental health”. “Known to police” and “arrived in Sydney a month ago”.

Just sounds like a schizo who probably planned this for a while, and wasn’t stopped in time. Unfortunately…

But who knows, honestly.

Quite honestly, at that press conference yesterday (as I was writing those comments), the assistant police commissioner used such a passive voice that it really did almost sound like that, lol…

It was embarrassing to watch. But obviously he was trying to avoid any “legally binding” language or whatever, I imagine…

It does look to be that, from everything I’ve seen. But we really don’t know yet.

I’m not sure anyone (at least publicly) does.

bamboozler1 16 points ago +16 / -0

Sounds like it was probably a schizo, or a “lone wolf” at most…

Police are saying “no ideological motivation” at the moment.

There’s a police and ambulance press conference literally right now…

Female cop (inspector, so senior) took him down entirely on her own, before anyone else arrived, which is pretty impressive really.

Probably would’ve killed a bunch of other people otherwise (because members of the public don’t/can’t get guns, for the most part, here).

We don’t know yet. Looks like a Muslim though. Wearing rugby fan gear (green and yellow, but I’m not sure which team)…

I think American Pie kind of gets better as it goes along. At the very least, the last half hour or so is better than the rest of the movie deserves, IMHO. And it’s not even that crude at that point. But yeah, you’re not wrong.

I personally prefer Wedding (American Pue 3), which was the first one I saw through, and I even liked 2 more than 1, so… If you wanted to ease into it somewhat, that’s an option I guess..?

More Stifler in those, so YMMV as to whether you like that or not.

And yeah, I didn’t like Animal House.

Love the Blues Brothers. But Animal House just ain’t for me.

The British version of this is The Inbetweeners, which I do enjoy, but is arguably even more puerile (at least in the movies). Much more "current", though, and it's British humour, so it carries over better to Australia.

I still think peak Tara Reid > peak Emily Atack, though. But man, Tara Reid has looked pretty rough ever since, sadly...

Yeah, I never thought it was intended as an endorsement of their behaviour, but rather more like "Look at these pathetic losers. If even they can get it together, why can't you?"

If it even went that "deep".

Though I do think Nadia kind of screwed him around a bit, there, and Vicky's dumping of Kevin after they have sex is ice cold (after making him tell her he loves her multiple times, lol), let alone Michelle being almost psychotic, but eh, it's fun.

I just hate the need of the current generation to overthink absolutely everything. It's just a dumb movie with a bunch of mostly dumb actors and actresses playing dumb characters, lol.

Why Rocky Horror doesn't get the same level of so-called "critique" that American Pie, Mean Girls, Superbad or any of the other similar movies and series get I do not know...

Oh, except for the fact that the rapist and murderer in the movie is a "queer" alien. I suppose that makes it okay (to them)...

But yeah, I would argue that the girls in Broad City and similar shows are definitely worse people than the gang from American Pie. At least the boys in Pie show some degree of character growth and maturation, as you say...

Yeah, it's mostly a Malmo and Stockholm problem, although Vasteras and Orebro have their share...

So does Gothenburg, apparently, but I didn't really see any of it there. Just angry, drunk Swedes, for the most part...

But yeah, I would say I felt far more unsafe in Stockholm than Malmo, but I also spent a lot more time there, so eh...

I felt particularly uncomfortable and unsafe in Copenhagen, though, so that sort of lines up with your experience, I guess...

I didn't like that train journey much, either (though the Flixbus was much worse)...

Poland?? Revenge for 1632, you mean..? 🧐

That would be… Ironic.

Sweden had a (Baltic Sea) empire once, ya know!

I mean, nor were Dove Cameron or Natalie Alyn Lynd (Disney kids) before surgery, so…

If you’re gonna go full “fuck my body up”, I guess there’s always le plastique, unfortunately…

Arguable if it’s much better than chopping her tits off, but still…

Alcohol, and fights on public transport, from what I've seen... Also football and hockey (!!) hooliganism, lol.

But only between Swedish men themselves. Never against the women, or obviously the immigrants, lol.

But the thing about repressing your anger like they do is that eventually it explodes out of you.

For my two (female) exes, that meant they went psycho/off the rails, and for the men, it means going for their fists after getting blind-drunk. It's... Not great, either way.

They never learn to contain their rage properly, so when it does inevitably come out, shit gets very real, very fast...

Which is what I was like, too, until I grew out of/learned to control it (uncontrollable rage)...

They're usually Syrians. Not always, but usually...

So I would go, in decreasing order of likelihood: Syrian, Turk, Yemeni, Somali (though some of them are exceptionally aggressive, from experience), Iranian/Iraqi and then maybe sub-Saharan African...

I stayed around 20 minutes from Skarholmen for around a week, less than two months ago...

Not a great vibe in that area, to say the least. Exiting the train station, you rapidly realize that you're one of the only white people in the whole area, surrounded by Arabs and Africans. In fact, sometimes you're lucky to see another whitey at all...

It's... A demographic time bomb. So I can't say that I'm surprised in the slightest.

Alexa Ray..? Yeah, I looked her up. I mean, I haven’t listened to her music, but she’s not hideous

I’d say she has Garner’s kids beat. But idk how much of that is just styling/makeup.

You’re right, though, in comparison to Joel’s other daughter, or especially Brinkley’s other daughter (blended family’s are confusing, lol)…

Uruk-khai..? 🤔

The movie just didn’t make them pasty enough, evidently!

Yeah, on second thought, looks like a debate in moot court, or something (which makes it arguably less scary)…

But idk. Someone with more knowledge of this can chime in and tell us, lol.

Is it a government..? Some of the people around her look too young to be elected officials, but I could be wrong/they could just be staffers…

But from the title, I think this could be a college event, or something??

Older daughter is pretty unattractive too, tbh…

Obviously the sum is not always greater than the parts, when it comes to genetics, lol…

Then again this also seems to apply the other way (e.g. model children of “plain” parents), so clearly it is much more complicated than just “Throw in 50% of each, jumble it up, and see what ya get.”

But anyone with a basic understanding of genetics knows that, although I’m always surprised by the people who don’t, lol…
