Well, it pulled off a story-heavy roguelite (!!) that tells an epic tale from the depths of Hades to the heights of Olympus. You never mind dying (!!) because you'll be unlocking new conversations and powerups at your house between runs. Like all roguelikes, it's designed to be played over and over again, so the replayability is incredible. And the combat is silky smooth and just plain fun, with plenty of variety between different weapons and powerups that you acquire.
Here is some video from early in the game.
It also has a fantastic soundtrack, one of the best I've ever heard in a video game. It's absolutely fantastic, and it deserves the praise it's getting.
At the risk of seeming like a fanboy (I already nominated it for Best Hack&Slash and plan to nominate it for Game of the Year), I'd like to nominate Hades for Best Music.
Just listen to Orpheus and Eurydice's duet. One of the best songs in any video game ever.
It's got tons of quality music, including In the Blood. I think it deserves a nod.
Edit: How could I have forgotten the Lament of Orpheus?
Just finished Transmetropolitan, and for all of its "shocking" profanity and content, it struck me as hopelessly naive in the end.
SPOILER: The fact that Spider just had to get the story and get it out to other journalists, who all bravely published it, made me actually laugh out loud. The world is horribly corrupt, and they didn't corrupt the media? Absolute clownshoes.
Thanks for letting me rant.
It's going to work out way worse, though. There aren't enough simps to provide for all of these women (especially if they're expecting something beyond basic survival). And the problem is made worse when you consider that a relatively small percent of the hottest streamers will be splitting most of the money between themselves. It's truly stupid.
