They are actually doing it. I was sure they were going to "forget" when it was time for them to actually change, but the useless virtue signal is going to happen. I'm not sure if "Get woke, Go Broke" will work with a massive food conglomerate either, so prepare for more of this BS.
The brand is literally gone, though. Remember that Gillette was an $8 billion writedown for Procter and Gamble, one of the most conglomeratey conglomerates there is.

Now that I think about it, what exactly would anyone find racist about the brand? I mean, it's literally just a black man.
What? There's absolutely nothing wrong with his wear. I think a lot of people would look at it and think it's of high class. Not to mention that there's nothing wrong with a black person portrayed in servitude. Being a servant is very different from being a slave, and both aren't just limited with black people either.
Just for an example, no one looks at Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and thinks the show is racist for portraying a character like that.

Damn shame, this. I used to buy packs of their red beans & rice Ready Rice to go as a side with our taco night food. Guess I'll just switch over to buying the Zatarain's mix and spend the extra half hour cooking it on the stove top instead.

Cooking rice is already one of the easiest things you can do. Does it really have to be more "convenient"? Not to mention regular rice is considerably cheaper and doesn't come with whatever else they put in those bags.
One of the advantages of all these brands going full retard is that you eat better and cheaper by avoiding them.
With a rice cooker (you can get one for like $20) you just set it and forget it, takes 20 minutes which isn't long but also isn't "instant" which can be nuked in 2-3 mins.
If you don’t have a dishwasher cooking rice can be brutal sometimes. I’d say to go frozen to maximize the convenience
Rice is one of the simplest fucking things to cook, and there's hardly a difference between one brand or another. Uncle Ben's is overpriced trash where you're mostly just paying for the logo on the box. Maybe now that they're changing it to "Ben's Original," ignorant consumers will assume it's just a knockoff and go for a cheaper alternative.
They should put him in whiteface and call it Cracka Bens
