My understanding is that parts of Square are woke and other parts are not woke. It's a combo with the woke starting to gain the upper hand.

The FF7 Remake? Pozzed to hell by Square & Soyny, buying that is def. supporting woke behaviors. Life is Strange should just be a no-brainer to avoid.

Other games seem to be fine for now, although we have danger zones that I won't even give attention to, as outrage sometimes fuels sales.

Never give money to people who hate you, even if it's indirectly by supporting people you like. Exceptions might be things you need to live, but entertainment is definitely NOT one of those exceptions.

Let me put it to you this way:

I know someone who even after a company poured millions into woke causes, refuses to go and visit their store to this day after 8 years because he heard from his friend that they hate LGBT people.

9 out of 10 of the people on here and other non-woke sites don't have the will to do what he does. Who has the power in the modern day culture?

I personally am almost out of supporting the game industry, but I find myself strangely alright with it. It gives me more time to focus on improving other things like my faith, body, and expanding my knowledge in other subjects.

edit It hasn't happened yet, but if a company starts to go woke, then backtracks (with actual sincerity), I think it's alright to purchase from them again. Forgiveness is a lost art in the modern age.

Here you go, I gave you the YoshiSMASHED summary of this:

I am not Catholic, but this video taught me a lot. All of us "culture-warriors" on both sides are heeding the call of 4 dead bitter men.

No, and relying on one set of indie creators or foreign markets (I have various examples, but talking about them leads to unwanted attention, so you'll have to put up with generic reference) is a recipe for disaster. It's running away from the real source of the problem.

Western culture is the real issue, our shared understanding of the objective world through Christianity (you can hate or like that, but that's how the Western world functioned for hundreds of years) has been obfuscated by constantly clashing wills of self-identification. Everybody has their own "truth" that they constantly try to impose onto others. Identity politics arouse from this struggle to impose various "truths".

We've gone from "I should do my best to help society for the glory of God and His truth will guide me" to "I should discover my own identity and then help myself because then I will be happy". I think a return to a shared understanding of Christian morals (what we can and absolutely CANNOT do in society) is the only way out.

Who came up with the ideas that led to our current situation? Secular philosophers whose ideals twisted our discussions to their current form (we are all guilty of the modern antagonistic discussion, us & the SJWs).

The key 4 secular philosophers responsible for this chaos we all are experiencing are: Karl Marx, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Michel Foucault. All came from religious backgrounds, all ended up being extremely atheist. "Self-identification", "existentialism", "oppressor vs oppressed". Sound familiar? All those ideas and more came from them.

I was taught Sartre's theory without even realizing it, it was mandatory for university. I'm trying to break free of all of their influence now. None of their ideals can stand up to Christianity.

A lot of what I just said was pulled from a sermon I recently watched, very informative and not hard to find if you want more insight.

Oh my gosh.

I thought the N-word was "nationalism". :0

The original creators are both men who think they're women.

It's going to be woke.

I'm disappointed that the meme uses the cucked zombie Strive Faust (which oddly enough both the woke and old fans hate).

Instead of the incredible wacky doctor.

It turns out that depriving your body of the chemicals in meat is REALLY bad for you.

It's not just protein, but having deficiencies in nutrients like thiamin, heme iron, vitamins B6/B12, etc. can completely destroy you physically and mentally. Supplements exist, but often can't meet the exact balance that you get from consuming meat.

There's unfortunately a reason that the crazy rainbow vegan scarecrow is a stereotype.

Stop talking and start rolling friendo, we have a galaxy to create and a potentially traumatic backstory to unravel.

Those are not the worst depictions but that was 7 years ago.

If someone exponentially increases their rants about it over and over about since then, I’m more inclined to think they’re a true believer.

If Flynt stops talking about it, then I’d say you’re right, but he hasn’t and the rants have led to changes in some instances. Grifter or not, that’s bad to me.

Mirror Mirror Brianna Wu faked Gamergate harassment because she’s such a narcissist. She hates men, is mentally unwell, and evil.

Almost all correct. Flynt also hates traditional beauty in women and any depictions of strong beautiful women. So not only men, but women too!

Dead Space.

The reboot's going to be awful, they've already pledged to "update" the characters & story.

The anti-corporatism message will be easily replaced with anti-capitalism.

Once upon a time, I was pretty indifferent to the politically correct, and even agreed with them about some of their puritan pushes.

I'd say you need to find something relevant to him and show him how the politically correct will/have take and ruin that thing he loves.

I wish I could be more specific, but the best thing is to play to whatever notions he already has and suggest your viewpoint of the situation. Forcing people into a belief never works, suggesting a stance based on logic or emotion to someone usually does (the Left is really good at it, the Right not so much).

It’s Soyny.

They probably gushed at the chance to put Alloy in another game, and a Chinese one is a double-win for them.

Can’t make her ugly though, don’t want to make the Chinese mad. -_-

see you in jail

I expect some of our users will be saying this after more authoritarian laws around the world successfully pass.

Oh well, let's do our best until then! :D

We're not really trying to compare levels of awfulness here and Scott Pilgrim definitely had more influence on where we are today (Sparks also had influence but it's less felt today).

I think Nicholas Spark's books actually did more damage overall than his movies.

Lots of people saw Canadian guy & girl, and instead of saying "Wow, these are awful people trying to be less awful" they instead said "Wow, these people are so inspirational and rebellious, I should be just like them!"

It didn't help that the book & movie never really gave them lasting consequences for their horrible behavior (Canadian guy gets a deus ex machina in the movie).

Nerdy 23-year old Canadian guy fights through a league of seven exes (all with some kind of power) to obtain the love of a girl he's fawning over.

The girl everybody wants for some reason is pretty emotionless/grungy with different colored neon hair depending on the scene. Canadian guy cheats on the 17-year old he's dating. A token gay character (For the movie, there's a lot more in the books).

I actually didn't mind it when it came out, but it's a pretty cringey movie in retrospect.
